    A football career is limited in duration. When will Villa be in the Champions League? I guarantee Jack has had numerous people telling him he has to move for years, and he has said no.

    Jack should be playing at the highest level. That is not Villa. That is reality. From a purely footballing point of view, City have been the best match for him for at least 3 years. He's happy at Villa, he's comfortable, he's loved. But you need to move out of your comfort zone to achieve in this life.

    I would seriously doubt this one. We play one up front and have one of the best men for playing that position in the league. Is Tammy going to come in as a sub? He's not getting Watkins out of the team. We don't have European games to have the luxury of players to rotate in and out. If we put Watkins wide then we are weakening 2 positions.

    What? The release clause, if it exists, would be from signing the contract last summer. If a club bid the amount required then the clause is met. I don't think it's actually open to interpretation like your pal thinks. The decision would rest with Jack entirely if the clause is met. £100 million is also serious money, breaking City and the PLs' record by a lot. Nobody can complain about the money side of it.

    The US women's team lost to FC Dallas U-15 boys team a few years ago. I'm not sure how you think a mixed league could happen.

    That's the way it goes with women's football. Just we haven't been paying attention. Usually deals are 1 or 2 years so players end up moving a lot.

    He's a defensive midfielder, or is that defender in midfield. It's 5 at the back without calling it that. Which I don't necessarily mind but don't put Phillips beside him to do the same job with the occasional crossing of the half way line.
