Agree, so this signing could indicate that we still intend to sign a new #1 also. I think we will, Guzan will be back up/competition. His wages are fairly low so no issue there.

He's more likely to end up at a Barca going via Liverpool than he is staying at Villa. It's unlikely he'll ever get a move to an elite club direct from us, he needs to go to a "brand name" first Barcelona would never sign Benteke, ever!

They played a front 2 when they came 2nd. Do you think they want to sign him to sit on the bench? Suarez is completely different to both of those. Like most clubs aiming for the title I think they want and need a strong squad. I don't see him starting every week there. The title? In their dreams. But anyway, if he goes there he'll start 90% of games.
