  1. Id love us to go for Joe Lolley. Would add some creativivty and width. He was top of champo for successful dribbles/take ons this week. Villa through and through as well
  2. Have been pumping hours into fallout 4 but just not progressing the main storyline. I love the fallout games but the story just hasnt captured me, instead im just building crazy settlements. After a few months of this, out of nowhere last weekend i found myself downloading a load of skyrim mods and playing through it again and enjoying it massively. Get back home tomorrow and am torn about which to play. Skyrim which i know i will enjoy, or falllout which i want to enjoy but find myself playing more out of a sense of duty!
  3. Super Marc Ignoring the fact he got Nut-Megged, he did himself proud last night. One of the few players from the last few years i can look back on fondly and be genuinely happy for him
  4. I like Clark. Has always showed commitment and some fight, and a villa lad too. But i also dont rate him as a defender. Too many errors and needs a constant voice to guide him. Best for both if he moves on and i wish him all the best (individually, not for his new team and teammates)
  5. Fourth Official ‏@FourthOfficial_ 15m15 minutes ago Idrissa Gueye undergoing a medical with Everton Merde.
  6. I think i've said this every year for the last 5 years but i really hope he gets is chance. There is obvious quality in his game and his eye for goal is excellent. We haven't had a player i felt confident about shooting from outside the box since Hitz! To top it off, he's a villa guy through and through (like his brother ) , has come through horrible injuries and still wants to play for the Claret and Blue Fingers crossed he stays fit and shines.
  7. "Micah Richards will have a medical with Sunderland tomorrow, release clause of £5million activated with Villa" tweet from fourth official. (Those who don't know he's very much ITK. Lots of links with Everton and football agents. Track record is outstanding and doesn't tweet to gain attention like others...)
  8. Easy way to tell. The guy in front has major tan lines where hes clearly been wearing Goalie Gloves. Sherlock gillz
  9. Im a fan of Pokemon Go, i can see why some people might be annoyed about it. But.......
  10. Brilliant episode. Just a cool thing i saw and has been doing the rounds online. In the main library in Oldtown which Sam loved so much there was a big globe hanging from the ceiling. http://imgur.com/a/qaOrR If you look closely you can see it is the Globe they use in the opening credits! Now this probably means nothing and is just a cool Easter Egg however seeing as this is GoT and we love theories, it could be that the events of the entire show/books are set in the past and this is just someone telling the story of the epic battle between fire and ice that took place a long time ago in galaxy far far away.....
  11. TS must have liked what he's seen. On the OS he's quotes as saying : He told AVTV: "We are delighted that Gary has signed a long-term contract because we do see him as the future of the football club. "It's too easy to discard your homegrown players. I am not one to do that. "We will give him every opportunity to play for the club he loves. link: http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~4992782,00.html
  12. Loved the first reboot. Really looking forward to this. Not looking forward to sinking hours into this and developing favourite characters only for them to get obliterated though....
  13. think I remember that game, Im sure Taylor was in charge and Barry and also remember Hadji having a great game If we're thinking about the same game then yes I was there. I recall Postma playing in goal and Beckham scoring a tap in. Hadji had an absolute stormer, he was played basically as a forward. Strange how he didn't feature much that season. Haji hit the crossbar with a header from the edge of the box if I remember. Gutted we lost, deserved so much more
  14. great news from both a footballing and business perspective.
  15. https://twitter.com/JackGrealish1/status/631446114768670720/photo/1 Great to hear he's back in training. Looking at the locker in the background it would seem he's taken the 'Super Jack' chant to heart too!
  16. I rate Westwood. Does the job which is often underrated - Keeping it tidy and the ball moving, transitioning it from defence to attack. Because this isn't the job that makes the headlines his contributions can often be missed and as a result he is often in the firing line for criticism. One of the key things I've noticed with Sherwood's signings is their movement. Amavi is known for getting forward. Ayew for finding space and link up play. Veretout and Gueye as well. Hopefully now with a much more mobile team Westwood will really come into his own as he will have multiple passing options to help him set the tempo and push the team forward. I would love him to chip in with a few more goals as well as I feel its a part of his game he could develop, but really hoping this will be a big season for Ash!
  17. Pleasantly surprised that so far this window (touch wood) haven't really heard any rumours about teams looking into buying him. Hopefully he's seen the squad Sherwood is assembling and it has reassured him this is the place to stay, develop and become a legend at. With Sherwood now also looking to play Gil more this should hopefully take a lot of pressure of Jack, not having to be sole creative spark of the team. Very much looking forward to him getting back into the swing of things tonight!
  18. So to clarify, We are hoping to have a new: Stiker - Adebayor CM - Veretout within the next few days. On top of that we are hopefully looking at another striker, potentially a young talent we can develop etc Furthermore with Baker reportedly off we are looking for another CB. For me, if we make those 4 additions we will be in a very good position going into this season. Tim will have good options and a squad he has put his own stamp on. Obviously if any more players leave there may be room for some more additions, however I wouldn't want to many more as it could take a while for everyone to settle and could maybe be just a tad too much disruption. Either way, the last week has completely changed my perspective on the upcoming season, I'm very much looking forward to it!
  19. Hopefully just a rumour. Whilst we do need more striker options (even with Adebayor coming in) I just don't think this is a good choice. He can produce moments of magic and he could teach the younger players a few tricks, but we can't afford to have a luxury player who will turn up 5 times a season ( for reference see Gabby Abonglahor). I'd much rather a young, raw talent, who has something prove and with scope to develop. Especially if we are bringing in Adebayor because we will just find ourselves in a situation where we are having to replace two ageing strikers (with no resale value) in the next summer window.
  20. I completely understand the feelings of Spurs fans wanting to get rid. just like how we have felt about some of our recent high earners who have done very little for the club. This deal does concerns me with the players well documented personality and the amount of money we'll potentially be paying him. However I can appreciate that this is a tactical, short term solution. Sherwood knows the player, knows that he can get him firing and it'll takes the pressure of our other new and younger strikers. If he comes in, scores 10+ goals then it will be job done and a good bit of business by the club.
  21. Excited by this potential signing. He's a very good player and has the potential to be an absolute class player if he carries on his development. Hoping Sherwood can seal this deal and then also help him develop. Allez le Villa!
  22. Always sad to see an academy product not really make it. Like Whittingham ( and probably Weimann too) I think he will do very well in the championship and I wish him the best of luck. unfortunately he just wasn't quite good enough for the Prem. A few more years down the line, with more experience and development he may well be, but we need CBs of Prem quality now so I think its best to move him on.
  23. Latest twitter talk is that Sherwood was on a flight back from Marbella this evening....which would hint at Sergi Darder. Possibly(probably) just nonsense but would be great f true, he's a very talented player! User Actions Follow Reema‏@reema80 Tim Sherwood on our flight back to london. Of course he would go to Marbs on holiday.
  24. People saying lots of his goals were penalties. We just lost our main penalty taker so bringing in a striker who is more than happy to step up and bang them in consistently is hardly a bad thing! Obviously its shouldn't be a main attribute that influences our choice of striker/transfer target but certainly don't see it as a negative.
