You're a hard man to please grobs. Imho he will move to Real Madrid/Barca/Bayern, he is that good. His movement off the ball not good enough?......watch how he makes himself some space when Weimann makes a run.The fact that Weimann couldn't pick him out twice, is more of our problems than CB tbh.

He is already a key player.He adds a lot more aggression, pace, physicality than what was there previous.We don't look a soft touch anymore.His pressurising of Mata in the last minute is a great example of what we have been missing for the last 3 years. Because of Sanchez, i don't think we will miss Delph that much.

Hes got 1:2 for Villa?........imagine what he would get with better attackers around him.Weimann summed up our problems today, runs around a lot, gets in good positions, doesn't know what to do with the ball when he gets in good positions. Sanchez and Delph run the midfield today, but we have nobody who can create.We have the finisher, not the creator.

Delph and Sanchez are fine.Just buy/loan a good footballer to play in front of them, and at least one decent attacker playing off CB.

He might have had a bad day at Fulham, but he had Hazard in his pocket in the game at VP. Could be a very good RB, but also think he could develop into a nice midfielder.I wouldn't be against the idea of playing Delph, the Rock and Bacuna as a midfield, and playing either Joe Cole or Grealish off CB.

Him and Sanchez could be a very good central midfield partnership. Delph seriously needs to think about his next move.None of the teams he has been linked with has a central defender as good as Okores atm.None of the teams he is linked with have a better holding midfielder than Sanchez atm, and none of those teams have a striker anywhere near as good as CB.We are not far off a good team, a good midfielder in front of Delph/Sanchez, a Remy kind of striker off CB, and a good winger/crosser, we are certainly as good as West Ham. Unsuccessfully by the sound of it. Two different kinds of players, would only have one of them in the team at the same time. I would say Westwood cost £2m?, and they want £8m for Cleverley.Both very similar quality imho.

Guzan, Okores, Sanchez and CB is a backbone to build on. I know its not the right day, but with a couple of inspired signings in the Jan window, we could be comfortably be a top 10 team

Thought he was poor. We lack an out and out attacking midfielder, a la Merson, who tries to hurt the opposition.Sanchez and Delph offer a good base for such a player to be included.Cleverley is just ok, no more no less.Not worth £8m though.

Bang on Carew. Much as i am not convinced by PL, unless he is given the opportunity to buy at least 2 reasonable attackers, then i think it will be difficult to judge him properley.

Someone on here said last week that you could argue that PL has done his job.Removed the big earners, stripped it right down, and put the framework of a reasonable team , with minimal investment. I think that is partially true, but for us to move up we need to replace Weimann, N'Zog, Gabby.We offered nothing going forward today, and despite having a man sent off, wasn't too uncomfortable defensively, but we haven't got much options in forward positions.Weimann tries, and works hard, and will get you the odd goal, but hes not quality, nor is Gabby, and nor is N'Zog, and the jury is out on Cleverley. If we want to challenge for Europe then we need at least 2 new attacking players, and thats before we sell CB. I got shot down on here 2 years ago by suggesting we need to replace Gabby and Weimann, i think its fairly obvious now.

Yorkie on Sky said we was too safe in the 1st half, and much better in the 2nd.We had more chances in the 2nd because we moved the ball forward quicker, and injected pace into the midfield.Now i'm not saying Richardson is our answer to our midfield , but i think he made a difference yday.

Apparently Ings could be available for about £3m as he is out of contract in the summer. Now Bent is out of contract in the summer, Ings , for me has a bit of Robbie Fowler about him, good touch in front of goal, doesn't panic, good movement.Offer him Bents wages and a 5 year contract, he will be that good. I'd also look at getting Damari Gray from the Bloose as well.

I can't believe we would pay £8m for a player who will cost nothing in the summer. Delph is a better player imho, and would we expect anyone to pay £10m plus for him in Jan, no way. A reasonable player Cleverley, doesn't score enough to be an attacking midfielder, not creative enough to be the QB role midfielder, not physical enough to be the defensive midfielder.Not a bad player, but imho if he is costing £8m, then i would be looking at other players. He is a s good as we have got atm, but for me only Sanchez and Delph are decent midfielders in the current squad.

Swap Dembele for Delph, buy Ings, get a good quality attacking midfielder on loan/bosman, all for a relatively small investment, and if we have any money, buy Sigurdsson from Swansea.

We played better 2nd half, and that was partly down to Richardsons pace and energy, and also the fact that he breaks into the box.The midfield of Sanchez, Cleverley and Westwood actually had a good balance about it.We missed Cleverley when he went off, but you could argue that Joe Cole is even better there. Get a young Joe Cole alongside Delph and Sanchez, we haven't got a bad midfield.
