  1. I'd sign Alli or Damari Gray .It is the way forward tbh.. And if we have £10m to spend then i would go after Ings, and offer him £60k plus and a 5 year contract.I think he will be that good.
  2. Would Hernandez be available for £10m?
  3. Delph for Cleverley against Arse for me, and probably bring back Cleverley at home against Chelsk.
  4. Too many £3/4 million buys are gambles though jacket.Tonev was , what £4m?, Helenius £2m?, sometimes an experienced player on a free, Ayew for example, and a couple of signings like that Pione fella, wouldn't be too bad imho. Sinclair on £30k per week, yes please, on £50k per week, no thanks.
  5. You serious Pete? We looked a better without Westwood and Gabby in the team.More movement, more pace, quicker passing, even Cleverley looked better. Still need a couple of quality additions, but a step in the right direction to me.
  6. Lovely footballer. Nice to see a Villa player have confidence when he receives the ball, and have belief in his ability.Great goal as well. A new crowd favourite, a new Merson?.......i hope so.
  7. Preferably alongside CB, an Hernandez kind of player.
  8. Too isolated, particularly in the 1st half.Looks lacking in confidence to me, wants too many touches, and too long on the ball.Still by far our best striker, under no circumstances should we let him go.
  9. Offers you plenty of aggression and pace, and a couple of times his work defensively got us out of trouble. A lovely pass for the 2nd goal, but overall i like him.He comes in and out, and we expect miracles, i would have him in the team over Westwood every day of the week.
  10. Gray is going to be a good attacking midfielder for me, not a wide player. £5M? only if we had substantial investment.
  11. Old saying "if you are not a Socialist at 20 then you have no heart, if you are still a Socialist at 30 then you have no brain". Only trying to wind you up. Its difficult to know who to vote for atm, i couldn't vote for Miliband, and reluctant to vote for the Tories, although i do find the constant Tory bashing as rather 6th formish. The world economies are in a complete mess, we have lived beyond our means for the last 30 years, if we don't deal with it now then your kids will have a much harder time than what we have. Watching a programme the other day, and the amount of middle classes will not rise in Western Europe for the next 30 years, in other words no growth. Some tough decisions need to be made, and nobody seems to want to make them.
  12. Gil and Sanchez are 2 of the definite starters for me.Whoever plays better alongside Sanchez, who has mobility, pace, aggression and versatility, so that we can play Gil in a more advanced role without having too many defensive responsibilities would be the natural choice. Westwood , Delph or Bacuna for me, not Cleverley.
  13. I quite like that Dwight Gayle, has a great goal scoring record for Palace, has good movement.Send Cleverley back, save the money from Sinclair, and go for a good wide attacker.Just to think that Elia at Southampton is on loan as well.
  14. I think he is always fairly solid. Not top class, but ok. His height, and power put him ahead of Clark imho.
  15. To be fair, he couldn't have hit it much better.Have to put it down as a good save.
  16. Gil plays better forward passes than Westwood, and Delph created more chances today than Westwood. He did play a lovely 1st time pass to Cleverley in the 1st half though, but for me he doesn't do that enough, he doesn't take enough chances, he is too safe.Looks for the safe position, the safe pass, no pressure, thats why he frustrates me.I don't think he is as good as some of you think, but i do think he is better than he generally shows.A good squad player for me.
  17. Our best spell was when Westwood and Cleverley went off.....coincidence? A midfield of Sanchez, Delph and Gil looks fine to me.Just need to replace Gabby and Weimann/Cleverley, oh and a manager who has the balls/nous to realize that.
  18. Just hasn't worked for him, send him back .It will suit the both of us.
  19. He stood out because none of our other midfielders can beat a man. Looks a footballer, and played some nice passes. With better players and better options , could be a really good player.
  20. In the 2nd half, apart from their 2nd goal which he should have done better with, the partnership of him and Sanchez worked ok for me.We certainly looked better when Cleverley and Westwood went off anyway. Would start with the team that finished, but we desperately need more of a goal threat than Gabby or Weimann offer imho.
  21. I wonder if the NEC being sold off today makes Villa more attractive? When we was linked with a rich billionaire in the summer, and the NEC was up for sale at the same time, i felt that the opportunity, with someone with serious money, to develop the NEC, and build a football stadium alongside, would be the obvious thing to do.
  22. Can't think of any examples of that Paul
