We still seem to be inviting pressure, and struggle to keep the ball in the middle. I didn’t watch all of the game yesterday, but from what I did see, we struggled, and that was at home. Unfortunately Arsenal are good at unlocking teams and passing in tight spaces. Think we’ll get a hammering here. 4-0.

Been offered an IT role with the NHS. has anyone worked for the NHS before? What are the real benefits? What are the not so good stuff. Never worked in public sector before, so not overly sure on what I should expect. No idea what to do.

We’ve got one result in four, true. Personally I think we have looked bad in the games we have lost. Haven’t seen today’s game but from the sounds of things we were atrocious. We just can’t afford to be, else we are down. Simple as. As I said, it doesn’t matter about other teams. We need to be in charge. Not thinking it’s all ok because other teams haven’t won a game yet. Im unhappy at the moment. It’s not what I was expecting. Was thinking very differently leading up to August 10th.

Unfortunately showing enough doesn’t equate to results. We need results quickly. We aren’t getting any favours from officials, clearly (not that any team should get favours anyway). However, we need to be in control of our own destiny, and, unfortunately, I don’t think we are performance wise, at the moment anyway.

Is there a way a complaint can be made against a match official. Clearly has some sort of personal issues with Villa. Shouldn’t be allowed to ref our games if so.

Hope that team play their bollox off tonight. Need to give themselves a decent chance of making the first team squad for prem games. Be good if we could win comfortably for a change in these types of matches.

I love Star Wars. And as long as films are being made based on the star wars universe, I’m going to watch them at the cinema and then probably purchase the digital copy. It was a big part of my childhood, and the fact that I thought it all came to an end a numbers of years ago was upsetting at the time. More films the better!

That’s not really fair because he is the only player from that relegation team that we have retained, the others were a load of crap and didn’t care about Aston Villa. We lost our first two games this season because we are still settling in. We get a bit of rhythm and understanding - hey presto, a victory. Sod the 20 game loss thing. It means nothing. However, agreed that it is a team game, basics that every footballer learns as a kid. He is surrounded by other very talented footballers now, it might actually take some pressure off him. -
The difference with Deano though is that, if he ‘loses the dressing room’, I’d rather sack the players than the manager. Dean stays for the long run in my view.

A couple of people have put Grealish out wide on the left. I don't think this works. Grealish works best when he has the option of an LM overlapping or cutting in to give him an option or to take a defender away. He has to stay central, IMO.

The average spend per player was about £10millon. (Not sure if you heard the interview with purslow, but he confirmed that - 12 new players, about £120millon spent not including add-ons). So, when you look at it like that we have bought 12 x 10million pound players to replace the 12 that we released at the end of last season. You’d expect that some of those were better quality than what we had previously, maybe, but they weren’t premier league proven. So, actually, I don’t think our expectations should have been that we will ‘do a wolves’ this season, but instead survival was what we are aiming for.

Both Norwich and Sheff Utd pretty much showing us how it is done. Got a horrible feeling we are this seasons whipping boys, again... points going to be very hard to come by. Not sure what the reason is though; player quality, tactics, too many new players, not retaining enough of last seasons players?

Anyway you can go into some more specifics on the concept of matched betting, particularly using tools such as you describe above? I’m interested, but I don’t like the idea of a monthly subscription...

I know it was changed for 2019, but wasn’t sure it was changed permanently? Makes a lot of sense as far as English leagues are concerned!
