My friends and I have always known the wembley song as..."We're the famous Aston Villa and we're off to Wembley" but people at the moment are singing "We're the famous Aston Villa and we're going to Wembley"....

Anyone know why this has changed or has it always been this and we just had it wrong?

Any idea why we are only singing "Que se ra" or "We're the famous Aston Villa and we're going to Wembley?"

Under Brian Little, when we got to Wembley in 1996, we were singing things like;

"We're on the march with Brian's Army, we're all going to Wembley etc..."

Even better (and on the cards this year) -

"Tell Brian, Brian... to put the champagne on ice... we're going to Wembley twice... Que se ra, se ra..."

If you are doing requests, can we have "We're on the march with Martin's army" on Sunday please?

It would be nice to stop making the chavs from small heath feel like they actually mean something, just for one day!

I hope we are all singing the songs like the ones mentioned above:

We're on the march with Martin's army, we're all going to wem-ber-lee. And we'll really shake 'em up, when we win the carling cup, 'cos the Villa are the greatest football team.

I am also a big fan of:

We'll be running round the bull ring with the cup.

We'll be running round the bull ring with the cup.

We'll be running round the bull ring, running round the bull ring,

running round the bull ring with the cup - PISSED UP!

By the way, we should definitely be singing (in the light of the semis and the final of the FA Cup being played at wembley),

Tell me ma me ma, to put the champagne on ice,

We're going to wembley THRICE,

Tell me ma me ma.

It would also be nice to hear a prolonged version of MON's claret & Blue army belted around Wembley during the game. I think that would sound awesome given the fact we will probably have the majority of fans there!

Oh what a night,

Late in may back in '82

Kings of Europe, claret and blue

As I remember, what a night.

:D

Aren't there too few syllables in the 2nd and 3rd lines?

or...

Oh what a night,

Late in May in 1982,

Kings of Europe in Claret and Blue,

As I remember, what a night.

Just a mix of some songs that don't get sung that should, some have been posted recently.

Tell Martin, Martin

Put the champagne on ice,

We're going to Wembley thrice,

Tell Martin, Martin

We're on the march with Martin's army,

We're all going to WEM-BER-LEE,

And we'll really shake it up,

When we win the league cup,

'Cos the Villa are the greatest football team!

Gareth Barry? Who gives a ****,

We're Aston Villa and we'll win the cup.

We're winning 'em both,

We're winning 'em boooth,

Here today and back in May,

We're winning 'em both.

When Petrov,

Goes up,

To lift the Carling Cup,

WE'LL BE THERE, WE'LL BE THERE

And if we win:

Oh what a night,

Late February when we won the cup,

Down at Wembley Petrov picked it up,

As I remember what a night.

Pass 'em round to everyone you know so we can get these classics going tomorrow.

UTV!
