Otherwise your share becomes diluted

That is exactly how NSWE got 100% control of AVFC from Xia. When they bought us 3 years ago they only bought 55%. But as they pumped cash into AVFC Xia's shares were diluted. However, it is not uncommon for early stage investors to have non dilatable shares, particularly so if they are going to work in the company on a day to day basis.

As Purslow does, he is a minority shareholder. But it's hard to imagine him putting his own money into the club, he puts his time instead.

It would be hilarious if they did treat it as an investment and ran it to make a profit like Ashley did, keeping Bruce on and just targeting staying up for the TV revenue each year.

A new broom sweeps clean, but I really do think they will carry on with the old broom Ashley used, yeah they will spend a bit more but nowhere near what happened with man City under the Abu Dhabi group

Sounds like Sterling would be open to a move there but clearly they cannae actually afford him.

2 years left on his current mega money deal and he’s already rocking the boat about moving somewhere new.

He should maybe focus on improving his form.

Newcastle will be perfect for him. A £400k a week trouble maker

Sounds like agent fishing for a deal, 2 years left and probably now behind KDB and Grealish on wages

Good time to make noise

He's exactly what man city need to replace. He's overpaid, unreliable and rarely does it in the big games. Get rid of sterling and get haaland or someone who can score regularly. Not going to get better either when his pace goes.

Currently Steve Bruce is the most senior person with any footballing experience at the club. 12 games or so until the transfer window - get rid of the cabbage at your peril!

In fairness to Bruce he is quite good in the transfer windows. Yes, there will always be bad recruits but he gets a lot very very right

It's sensible, take their time, write this season off, set up some infrastructure, make 1 maybe 2 signings in jaunary, hope that them merely being their generates a buzz that gets them some results (and it should, their place should be rocking for Chelsea)

Follow it up with a big summer, pull the plug on Bruce now and the already high expectations go through the roof, this way they can slow everything down, temper expectations whilst no doubt doing a shit load behind the scenes

Bruce blags 16th and moans like **** when he doesn't get more time

He has a high turnover of players, will always get some right

Think from memory he brought in around 20 players in his time with us when you chuck in all the loans and stuff

I'd love to see what a Steve Bruce £500m war chest shopping list looks like, the likes of Winks and Barkley on it maybe a Hudson Odoi

edit  - had a look, bruce for us brought in 23 players in 3 windows
