Stevo has listened to The Guardian Football Weekly :)

Yep. Thought those two stats were pretty amazing.

Yep better than the amazing Gary fact.

Following the announcement of Brad Friedel's retirement, Francesco Totti and Rogerio Ceni are the only remaining active players who were playable on FIFA 96

Suarez has pulled his hammy.

When he doesn't start Barca's next game it will be the first match he's missed due to injury in his career.

That's astonishing.

So astonishing I'm not sure I believe it :)

He missed the first game of the World Cup though injury.

Suarez has also never had a red card, I think.

I'm assuming it's from a youth team game so doesn't "count", but this is so very Suarez (from his wiki). "At the age of 16, Suarez headbutted a referee following a red card"

Yeah I think that probably would count, plus according to his wiki page he got one at Groningen too, maybe it was just at Liverpool where he never got a red.

I did get this fairly spurious fact from a Plop fan, so it probably isn't the most reliable...

Fixed for you!

If you organised all the champions in English football this season going down to the Conference North/South this season in alphabetical order, quite incredibly Chelsea would be bottom.

In fact they were the only division winners whose name didn't start with the letter "B"

Chelsea

Bournemouth

Bristol City

Burton Albion

Barnet

Barrow

Bromley

That is awesome :D

Barcelona

Benfica

Bayern Munich

It's been a good year for the B's. Apart from the actual "B's" who lost in the play off semi. Although they lost to Boro, so there is that.

This week's Football Weekly stat that amazed me.

Man City's current first team includes 9 players who were in the first team in September 2011.
Yet they've spent £340 million since then.

(I guess you could argue who makes up their first team these days, but you get the picture)
