rodders0223
Fernando Hierro scored a century of goals for Madrid and 29 for Spain. Not bad for a CB.
The_Rev
Steve Bruce scored 19 in a season for Manchester United, and he didn't take penalties. Not bad for a potato head.
Jenko#4
Ronald Koeman's strike rate from CB wasn't too shabby either. 239 goals in 685 appearances (although he did have all the pens and free kicks). There are plenty of strikers who be happy if they finished their career with those stats.

Popular Post The_Rev
There was a 6500 mile (10500km) away day in Russia when FC Baltika Kaliningrad travelled to FC Sakhalin this weekend in the Russian second division. 0-0 if you were wondering.
The_Rev
Rickie Lambert has now scored in all four divisions of English football, the league cup, the FA cup, the Champions League and at international level. Fair play to a bloke who did it the hard way. This is a bloke who joined Bristol Rovers in league two for £200k not so very long ago. He was still playing in the third tier of English football as late as the age of 27.
lapal_fan
hmm, interesting.. I wonder if we should start buying young, hungry players from the lower leagues?

Rainer
Steve Bruce scored 19 in a season for Manchester United, and he didn't take penalties. Not bad for a potato head. Thats actually incorrect. 11 goals that season he scored from the penalty spot.
The_Rev
I stand corrected. Mind you, it stands to reason that Manchester United would get 11 penalties in a single season.

Guest av1
QPR may have won more pre-season friendlies this summer than FA Cup games this decade. Harry Redknapp's side have won just twice in the competition in the last 10 years.
Guest av1
Our game against Blackpool will be our 109th FA Cup 3rd round tie. More than any other team.

The_Rev
He was a bloody good one too. Cheating bastard, but one of the best players of his generation. Broke my heart one evening in the early 1990s. He scored that free kick about a minute after he should have been sent off. There was the great Graham Taylor documentary when he went mental at the 4th official, asked him to thank the referee for getting him (Taylor) the sack.
