Genuinely would not be surprised to see us in league1/2 eventually if Lerner and Faulkner stay, neither of them has a clue. About time too. Levy has made mistakes Gross, Ramos, Santini, Graham. Houllier would have been a good appointment given another season I'm sure. No excuses for McCleish that was just plain wierd and stupid, and he deserves stick for that but we stayed up and he got rid so for me that's in the past. Richard had an idea too. We all knew the wages. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to realise we cant afford players to be on 50k a week. Nobody gave a shit Big John. They didnt realise because they didnt have reason to look closer. Things start going wrong - people look closer. what i would give for an NRC in our midfield now!! However due to his own mismanagement the club is now in a far worse state financially than when he took it over and it should be his responsibility to repair that. When are we gonna start the Lerner out protests and the not showing up at games. I have been very against that in the past even up till last week but this club will never reach the heights of 3 years ago ever again under this man. What Lerner wants now is us to be in the championship for years and years and years gradually building like stoke and Swansea and I dont want that. He's got no back bone to say no to clubs coming with money for our top players. When Martin o neill was tested by Gareth Barry he said one more season and eventually Barry took his place and had to stay and had a great season but when o neill left Lerner never put up a fight to keep Milner downing and young and this summer he won't put up any fight to keep benteke. Are we going to forever be the team that big teams can take the best players off without a fight. WE'RE RELEGATED I never thought I'd see this black day and especially not under randy Lerner. I couldn't care less if we serve the best prawn sarnies in the league or have the comfiest corporate seats in the UK what i care about is those 90 mins every week on the pitch. The corporates will leave and head down to the Tesco 11 when we're in the championship and they will moan a little about the prawn sarnies not being quite as good but they can still take their clients to watch ManU, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. Randy Lerner has ruined MY club!! Through all these times he has been the owner and the buck stops with him! I want him out of our club as soon as possible. I don't want an oil baron just a group of level headed business men who know how to run a football club. With the likes of Swansea, Booggies, Newcastle, Stoke, Everton, Spurs, West Ham all proving to be more successful than us and run without mega-rich sugar daddies goes to show what a clueless **** Lerner really is. So please just go, I know you will leave us in the Championship but another 12 months of this incepid drivell and we will be in League 1!! Take a loss and piss off!! This is the one season we absolutely cannot afford to be relegated, as even if we come back up we'll be so far behind everyone else it could take years just to re-secure consistent PL status. If we truly cannot stump up any cash at all or make any breathing space on the wage bill to even try to prevent this, than we must be staring down the **** barrel and Lerner needs to **** off at the earliest opportunity. For years we were told at least we're not Leeds, well we are about to be I think Cant even afford to spend on one player , Norwich are having 6 and 7 M bid rejected, Newcastle buy 5 players , even Reading buy players and Everton spunk 7-9M on a player.
