If there is a investment/overhaul planned for the summer he should have started it now and taken the hit on wages/transfer fees as the money gained from staying up would far outweigh the outlay. To go into such a venture believing otherwise is stupidity of the highest order. However, as you have rightly said, he should not spend his money 'Solely' on Villa, just what is needed to ensure that we progress and not regress. How do we stop ourselves??If ever we need to come together as a club it is tonight and and till the rest of the season but HOW when there is no encouragement either on the pitch or off it?In general relegation battles are prompted at a club by the chairman(splashing cash),The manager(inspired tactics team selection)or maybe a player coming to the fore with vital goals or leadership!We are being shown none of these yet are expected to roar the side on? Theres no way lambert will survive with this team, absolutely none. We'll just be another reasonably big club in the championship like forest and leeds thinking we've got some god given right to be in the premierleague even though were only willing to buy league 1 players. The argument that because we want a few new players we are automatically asking him to give all his money and live on the streets is just laughable. You and others talk about Lerner like he inherited a problem. No one forced him to buy this club, agree or disagree? As owner he has a responsibility to the fans, agree or disagree? You seem to believe that spending any more money would bankrupt the club and the owner. Please share with us the facts that have led you to believe this.
