roonst83 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) News just broke. WTF On a great run and looking stronger all the time. Seems bizarre to me. Alas, the football world continues to throw up some seemingly strange decisions. Edited January 18, 2013 by roonst83
Mr_Dogg Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 And a very naive appointment as well. Good for us though.
dudevillaisnice Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Good for us imo. I quite like Saints to be honest.. but if it means they go down instead of us then I hope it happens.
coda Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 What in the hell? I wonder what's happened here. This could be the first bit of positive news for Villa.
AVFCforever1991 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Really **** surprised by that, great news for us.
Demitri_C Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 That is a absolute farce, I think this could be good news for us though Shocking treatment for Adkins
CI Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Must have had a blazing row over transfer money or a new contract and told the chairman to do one
AshVilla Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Cannot understand this decision making Their chairman makes Lerner look like a genius Southampton only 1 defeat in 7 games including draws against Chelsea and Arsenal SACK THE MANAGER Hilarious
AVFCforever1991 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Going to be a disaster, Reading and Southampton to both go down. Edited January 18, 2013 by AVFCforever1991
Zatman Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 great move. a rare piece of good news for villa this january. bizarre though, they picked up 5 points vs Arsenal, us and Chelsea and gets sacked. feel sympathy for him but Im sure Pardew got similar treatment from this chairman
Keyblade Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 He also got them back to back promotions, and they looked really good for staying up this season. Bizarre and hopefully terrible move.
coda Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Pochettino doesn't speak English apparently. Press conference this afternoon with an interpreter. 1
AvfcTheObsession Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Really think this could bite them in the arse. The players will not want to play for the new, unknown manager. They all loved Adkins. More likely to increase their chances of going down than staying up this season.
jayEm Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Must have been something major going on behind the scenes, because if this is a reaction to recent results it's a ridiculous one. Southampton were looking the most likely to stay up from the six relegation candidates.
Biskitt Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 ^ and Luke Shaw, was really impressed with him against us, can't believe he's only 17 ! They've only lost 2 of their last 12 games in the league which includes beating us, QPR, Newcastle and Reading ( all the teams around them ) and have got draws away with Stoke, Fulham, and Chelsea ( all difficult away fixtures ) as well as drawing with Arsenal. The players were obviously still playing for him so it doesn't make any sense. Football's getting more and more mental but it might help us out you know
