b6bloke Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 VIG I can't find it for some reason but there is a deal that can see you pay 20 odd pounds for a 3 course buffet lunch in a restraunt in the ground which allows you to drink in there after the game too, there are past players etc though this does not include sa match ticket. I know it's on a Sunday and the prices are high but they all sold out in 2 days, just like they did last year when we only took 1500 tickets. We would have sold the full 3000 easily. I know a young lad who has had a really tough time of recent, he has been great supporting his mum through bad periods too. He plays for his local team and is a cracking player, a fantastic young player. Its his birthday soon (becomes a teenager) and I was wondering, just wondering if there might be a chance he could get a call from Agbonlahor (his hero!) Just as a heads up, how did they perform? 10-6 is quite a respectable scoreline against the arch rivals. Will have a watch after the UEFA Cup game tomorrow and hopefully discuss with you some more. Jon Great result by the Villa today. It was a tough tie and we really struggled to play our football on such a slow pitch, but three away goals should be good enough to take us through to the group stages and I for one can't wait for that. Well done to all the lads. I managed to watch the Browns v Steelers game afterwards and I must say they were some tough conditions. I wasn't aware that they were playing in 30mph winds before I saw it, but it certainly explains the score line. I thought they handled the Steelers rush offense fairly well and Rogers certainly had a better game than against the Cowboys, but the secondary was still a little loose and would have faired worse if the winds were down. Kellen Winslow had another outstanding game, but again Anderson and Braylon Edwards were poor. Fingers crossed that they can all click against the Ravens and give that booing Browns crowd something to celebrate. It's not easy going 0-2 as it can be a long way back. Some of the calls need to be looked at, as well as some difficult plays needing to be made, but they are definitely improving. I think we will do the Ravens personally, a road game is a fresh start and expectations will be less. Fingers crossed I am right. Bring on the Baggies and the Ravens. Up the Villa!!! Go Browns! I was in my local Asda Walmart store (Tamworth) this morning and spotted that they now have a good range of Villa merchandise. I posted a few months back about how difficult it was to get scarves, hats etc for some friends who I was taking to a game. Both JJB sports and Sports World both told me that they were not licensed to sell anything other than shirts. Although I didn't get a response at the time I'm pleased that we are moving forward and making the stuff available to a wider market. I know you are well aware of problems with the official site and I can tolerate a lot of the problems but i feel having pornography posted on the official site is simple not on, kids have access to the site and I for one do not want my child seeing a females genitalia on full view and am sure many other villans feel the same. I have followed the procedures and made this aware to geoff.coleman and as of yet 4 days later its still there along with other pictures that simply should not be allowed to be posted on the official site, please general could you do something about this as I do not want my child and other young children seeing the full female form and me having to explain about this subject at such a young age. with the club being run so very well I believe something like this can undermine the values of our great club. thank you for your time Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
