Risso Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Hogso, I believe the tracklisting may be The ballad of naked man by the Butthole surfers Penetration by Iggy & the Stooges This night has opened my eyes by the Smiths Dirty Back Road by the B-52s crosseyed and painless by Talking Heads Backside of the moon by the Orb vibrate on by Lee Scratch Perry and some Dido tune or other You forgot the Happy Mondays - Strap On
Pelle Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I'm guessing there'll be some Gothenburg metal on Pelle's mixtape . Heh, don't like the Gothenburg bands that much, tbh. We've got In flames, Hammerfall and Dead by April, but none of them have done more than a good song here or there. But I've thought of putting one or two swedish songs on the CD. But none of them are metal.

saturdaygig Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Well its all gone wrong for me. I made a CD full of wonderful tunes, sent it to choffer and it was returned today 'addressee has gone away'. Its a collection of modern indie label tunes (variety of styles) that's ideal for someone who stuck in a listening rut and wants to hear something new. First address in my pm box gets the CD!
choffer Posted February 15, 2012 VT Supporter Posted February 15, 2012 What? I gone nowhere! I can see it was a bad idea me getting involved in this. The cd I sent turned up in two pieces.

Anybody laid claim to this yet or is the offer still open? 8)
sparey16 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 if no-one else is claiming...feel free end it to me.
choffer Posted February 16, 2012 VT Supporter Posted February 16, 2012 Look like choffer is back from the dead Aye but I've still got a shit of a postman who is clearly too lazy to do his job properly.
chappy Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 I received mine on tuesday, along with a nice signed squad photo of Villa from the 78/79 season! Haven't had a chance to listen yet but will hopefully do soon. Need to get mine in the post too.
chrisp65 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 I received mine on tuesday, along with a nice signed squad photo of Villa from the 78/79 season! Haven't had a chance to listen yet but will hopefully do soon. Need to get mine in the post too. It was pure coincidence, I re discovered the photo so took a copy and shoved it in. I've even still got the Aston Villa franked envelope it came in! I'd written to the club as a kid and asked for autographs and that's what they sent me. Made me wonder what the club would do now if a kid writes in asking for autographs? I might carry out a test on that, see how things have changed 34 years later.
GarethRDR Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 saturdaygig's CD just turned up and I have to say I am gobsmacked at the level of production quality. I am quite distraught at how inferior/amateur my one now seems (should be with you this week, mate).
Stevo985 Posted February 20, 2012 VT Supporter Posted February 20, 2012 Mine is made and will be in the post shortly. There is no production quality on mine. Just selected my tracks, banged them on a CD and was done. The tunes will speak for themselves
CI Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I've received saturdaygigs product too and I have to say I am blown away by the artwork/cd cover etc. Im a bit ashamed of my lack of artwork now I'm still waiting for Pelles Swedish masterpiece to arrive

Eames Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 ^^ I've not heard of any of them. Not a song, not an artist.....?
choffer Posted February 20, 2012 VT Supporter Posted February 20, 2012 In terms of Indie - ness, its off the scale No need to gloat CI :winkold: Turned into a nightmare for me, this swap. 1. I've had to out myself as having appalling taste in music 2. I've had to send my cd twice as it turned up in pieces the first time 3. My bastard postie can't be bothered to deliver my mail so I miss my cd. Will have a quick look at iTunes though and see what I think of the tracks I would have got.
