I jest!  Got it today, cheers buddy.  I do love me some Rage Against The Machine.  ^_^

Haha no worries man. Let me know if there's anything you felt strongly about either way by the way, just for curiosity purposes  B)

PC,

66 minutes of deep joy, despatched.

The envelope may look a little formal, this helps when passing stuff through the office post system!

Thanks man, I look forward to it. I've got a few things earmarked for yours but it needs an edit. I've been having HD issues over the last couple of months so I have some access issues but surmountable - I'll be there soon!

no rush at all - to be honest I had to revert back to my old laptop just to rip a CD!

current laptop is £2.5k's worth of work kit and thoroughly resists copying individual tracks, old laptop did it in minutes

I didn't do any back searching to see what you might like, but hey, if there's one on there that's good then everyone's a winner

2011

2012

2013

all hail King Xann, the king of the mixtape

2011 is perfectly fine, but 2012 and 2013 are just different class and will cost me a fortune tracking down new audio adventures

in the meantime, I'm the driver for a trip to York later in the week, I shall be playing these and passing them off as my own mix from my own collection

Glad you enjoyed them

There's very little there that'll be difficult to find.

One of them is a freebie, so that's easy - Grip Grind Doom. That FLAC looks a bit small, IIRC it's on Bandcamp too.

The Blops, Murray Head, Clams Casino (on CD, it's kicking about on vinyl), Luciano Perrone and Manabu Iwamura may cost more than twenny squid.

Don't pay over the odds on the Selda Bagcan. 'Cemberimde Gul Oya' is a really famous 'Workers Unite' anthem in Turkey. There's a soap opera named after it, I think.

Anything you really want and can't find, PM me.

:)

There was pages and pages of Selda on Spotify, that's where I found that one.

There's not nearly so many tracks on there now. She's the boss of her own empire in Turkey. Reckon she probably got wind and told Spotify to do one.

I imported a Turkish issue, from Germany or the US, can't remember off the top of my head. ;)

struck out on the very first and what I presumed would be easiest to find, Pepe Deluxe

the kids loved it when they got in the car, they loved the vid on youtube too, but it wasn't in any shops yesterday.....

so I resorted to my original shopping list: 9Bach and a triple CD celebrating 40 years of the Sain record label

Xann,

Your comment on Rare Beats made me smile, it's basically what I sent out on my mix to Patrick, with some dub and electro thrown in the mix!

I've got a few Andy Vottel compilations (he helped out on Rare Beats 1 & 2), I went to see him up in Brecon where he did an hour long warm up set. Lovely bashful bloke but when I quizzed him on the names of a few of the tracks, he said he didn't know. When I asked if he was being coy or protective he laughed and said he really didn't know but if I was that interested he'd go through his files and find out.

Andy knows his stuff, I like a lot of the material he's released - It looks like useless does too.

Boney Votel has an insane record collection if you get a chance to see him.

The Pepe Deluxe is a wonderful album, beautifully made, quite my favourite release of the last few years, there's a luxury version too.

Spillers should be able to get it. I'll give you labels and cat numbers for any of the titles if you want to source locally.

cheers,

The guys in Spillers were convinced it was there, the shop copy sleeve was in and it was listed as stock - but they couldn't turn it up.

It's on the order list for the next time I'm in Cardiff.

I've got a hard week or so of work coming up now, but every chance I'll bother you for stuff once I've got time to go through it properly again!

Didn't get my ear bleeding set of doom and destruction from hogso yet. :(

Since scrapping my original mix in favour of doing 2 instead, I've done nothing. Plus I'm away at the moment, so you're going to have to wait eeeven longer I'm afraid :P

PC,

yay! I've just got home and there's a package in today's post, that'll get a proper headphones and beer listen later this evening whilst the kids are baiting celebrities on twitter and the missus is trying to hear what they whisper on BBC's production of Jamaica Inn for people that hadn't even realised they had a hearing problem.

cheers! one goody in there, one find and it's all well worth the bother
