Don't understand all this "the next man has to be English" bollocks.

The next manager needs to be the best man available to do the job. End of. His nationality is irrelevent.

Redknapp will be unemployable following his forthcoming conviction.

I voted for a foreign manager as there is no English manager good enough, imo.

Had there been an option of "Anyone but Harry Redknapp" then that would have gotten my vote.

Because you dont like him or because you dont think he is good enough?

Well, both apply, imo, but the former is why I don't want him as manager.

This is international football.

We are England.

We have English players.

We have English fans.

We should have an English manager.

You don't seem to be convincing many people with that :P

England don't have any good managers.

There are more managers from the city of Glasgow in the Premier League than there are managers from the whole of England.

When Harry Redknapp counts as the most successful England manager in recent times (having won an FA Cup a few years back) you have to stop and have a rethink.

May as well say the same about the players, then.

We don't have good enough players to win anything, and we all know that. But we accept it, because that's the way it is.

I would have a rule that the manager of every national side must come from that country, same qualification rules as the players.

English team, English manager. They're all crap, but that's our problem.

IMO it has to be harry, he's the only manager that the rags and some of our idiotic fans would give a fair crack of the whip

maybe, just maybe, when we are shit under harry the penny might drop that its the players not turning up rather than the managers lack of understanding our culture or some such bollocks

Great post mate.

International football is about one nation vs another nation.

The best that your nation can produce vs the best that another nation can produce.

That includes both players and managers.

How can someone's nationality be irrelevant in international football?
