Mellberg is now past it. I would of thought Sweden would of had someone coming through to replace him by now. They can be got at.
You'd think, but they're sorely lacking in central defence. Beyond Mellberg they've got an underperforming Granqvist whose having a shocking campaign at Genoa, Majstorovic who's even closer to retirement and Antonsson (who to be fair to him has settled a bit and had a half-decent season at Bologna after a shaky start). There's a couple of younger players who've made the odd appearance but nobody who's dislodged the incumbents.

JOnas Olsson is probably the best defender they have but except for him they have poor selection choices. So bad wouldnt be surprised if Mellberg having to stay on for next qualifiers

The Bayern Munich players were not with the Germany squad yet, that is why they lost.

That means they were missing Neuer, Lahm, Boateng, Badstuber, Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Muller and Gomez.

sad to see eljero elia isent in the holland squad, i know he hasent played much, if at all in torino but he was such an exciting player at the 2010 wc.

and isent it quite strange that david villa isent in the spain squad or is he parhapse injured?
