ryanvilla_1994
Where the hell does this "Martinez is a great manager" view come from!?!?!? The table doesnt lie. He is as bad if not worse than McLeish. Exactly and people always pull out the poor team nonsense despite the fact that Martinez signed them all. Had we got Martinez last summer we would be in the same position and moaning about the useless Spanish word removed. Maybe we be calling him El Tw@t, El Cluelesso, El Hombre Loco....:? Really, 15th and about to be one of the, if not the worst PL season? He may not be significantly better than McLeish, but he'll have our players playing with a bit more fight and trying to get them to play better football. What good has "showing fight" and "playing better football" done Wigan this season..... or last for that matter. Whats the **** point of a manager who is shit until the last 10 games of a season and then watches "The Great Escape" for inspiration. One of the greatest Arsenal sides played horrible **** football and yet won games/trophies etc. Never heard too many fans moaning as they sang "One-Nil to the Arsenal" though. Same applies for Mourinho era Chelsea. The football was awful, but they won things so no one cared.
Ulver
Mark Hughes is utter gash. How he's developed a 'good manager' tag from some supporters on here is beyond me. Not only that, he comes across as a right smug sour faced clearing in the woods too. One thing I wont level at Mcleish

I strongly disagree with this view. You cannot compare us with Wigan. It’s like comparing Fulham to Liverpool and concluding Dalglish has done a better job. The playing field is nowhere near level. We have spent much more this season and have a much better squad yet end up in a relegation scrap. And Wigan fans actually support Martinez. Eames
Ahh yes. Mr Hughes, the other "Villa fans Manager of Choice" How's that half season at QPR working out for him? All the cash he wanted and he still **** it up. At least McLeish can say its because the clubs skint.

Awesome He's managing WIGAN, WIGAN ATHLETIC. With all the problems that come with it. No money, limited players and having to sell the best ones year in year out. Even keeping them in the PL is like winning a trophy

Keyblade
Wigan's squad would struggle in the championship under an average manager, it's that bad. Martinez doesn't get enough credit, as keeping them up every season is an achievement in itself. Is he the man for Aston Villa? Don't think so. But he'll probably do a better job than McLiesh. pacbuddies
Martinez is a poor manager, Hughes is a poor manager, McLeish is a poor manager. Their combined CV's read poor and none of them should be allowed anywhere near VP.
