Those pay-day loan companies are disgraceful and damaging in the way that they practice and, despite what they say, the government are doing **** all to tackle it. At least footballers and football fans (of all people) are taking a stand and I think that that's important given that the general 'social class' of football fans is the target market. I would hope if we ended up with a payday loan company we would protest as well. I wasn't particularly happy with a casino either to be honest. I wasn't particularly happy with a casino either to be honest.I don't exactly see other lenders, at least bar those whose collection tactics don't involve baseball bats and pipe wrenches, lining up to lend to the folks who use payday lenders, so I suppose (since you don't seem to express any issue with poverty) you'd prefer to see the customers of such lenders having electricity/gas/etc. turned off or evicted (not to turn this into the tenancy thread). Sharia law states that Muslims must not benefit from either lending money or receiving money from another person.
