sir_gary_cahill
not so sure. their forwards are likely to cause us a lot of problems with their strength and pace. plus their average height is probably about 6'2 so can see them being a real danger from set pieces. i agree with this, even with parker out, this will not be an easy game
VillaAlex
A draw would be a good result. Of course someone will use Parker as ammunition if we fail to win, as apparently West Ham are a one man team.
villatillidie1980 Posted April 16, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted April 16, 2011 I am desperate for a win here, reaching the 'magic 40 points' and putting even more distance between ourselves and the relegation zone would be epic. There is no doubt that recently, at home, West Ham have looked half decent, but surely we can set up to hit them on the break and hopefully score more than them. They too are desperate for a win and if they start well, the crowd will get behind them and it may make our task a little more difficult, so lets hope for a decent start UTV
OutByEaster? Posted April 16, 2011 Moderator Share Posted April 16, 2011 Team news please. I've a feeling this might be one of those late season sunshine epics - Villa to win 4-3.

AVFC-Prideofbrum
Decent team, I reckon Gabby might be precaution resting him? another possible is the size of West Ham's pitch, might just be the camera angle but it seems quite small which would suit someone slightly bigger in Heskey than pace I guess? symmouk
Bench: Marshall, Pires, Makoun, Alby, Clark, Gabby, Cuellar Very strong bench!
sonic_bouma
Walker should be able to handle the pace of Obinna but on their day Cole and Keane can be a handful and Keane likes to score against us but im optimistic after seeing our line up...thank god Capello made Houllier realise that Young is a winger not a striker looking forward to Bent and Heskey linking up...if Heskey can win his fair share of knock ons Bent could capitalise id take a draw though

AVFC-Prideofbrum
Good bench as well, Cuellar, Clark, Makoun, Pires, Albrighton, Gabby.
parisvilla
pretty gutted Gabby has been benched but WHU are incredibly poor at defending crosses and have conceded more headed goals than any other team so big Emile's inclusion may prove wise. OutByEaster? Posted April 16, 2011 Moderator Share Posted April 16, 2011 Disappointed to see Gabby out for Heskey, but ours looks a reasonable side I think this'll be a very open game.
villatillidie1980 Posted April 16, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted April 16, 2011 I think Hesky up front may be a good call, he is great at holding it up, lets just hope he can lay it off for Bent to tuck away!! UTV
