NO! Switch them round. And bring on Bradley soon. Ash has been very poor. Blasted the ball far far over with a basically open goal. theunderstudy Posted February 26, 2011 Share Posted February 26, 2011 Bent should have score there...he as been poor so far 1st chance he wasn't close enough to the ball 2nd great recovery by Robinson 3rd the defender gets a leg across and just about squeezes the ball to "safety". He hasn't been poor.For him he has. He's meant to score, that's why he is excused when he can't control it. He's had a few sniffs, a good shot, and a sitter. He needs to be scoring. Blackburn will have a bit of pressure in the game at some point, it'd be a lot nicer if we were sitting one up. In fairness Robinson made a great save one the second one, I thought Bent had choked, but RObinson punches it away. We should have had three pens at my count. brummybloke Posted February 26, 2011 Share Posted February 26, 2011 were doing well bearing in mind young has played shit, downing apart from a few nice passes has been poor on the right and albrighton has been poor on the left. so with 3 players down, we have been very good. just imagine if those 3, 3 of our best attacking players, were played in their proper positions, imagine that eh? albrighton crossing the ball in, downing doing the same, and young getting more than 4 touches of theball in 45 minutes. we may actually win a game if we did that. unlucky for young baker, he was doing well but we still look tidy with delph. pires seems to have gained the speed he had when he was 30. walker also looking good. benty, oh benty, for **** sake hit the **** first time, you could have had 3 so far, however i still think you can grab a couple today, we just need to get more ball in for him, and that would involve downing crossing it first time the same with albrighton, and the only way that will happen is if they are played om the PROPER side. Ashley Young is too busy enjoying being the "centre of attention" at villa and being ineffective in a position which isnt his natural one Shock Horror. Movement and passing is world away from that shown under MON. This is what we all wanted isn't it? Add in 3 points and this match has been a joy. Need that goal, deserve it. Getting beaten for pace, gets too skinned easily etc.. sorry but I wouldn't have him in the team either. I also seem to remember Warnock was at fault for some of the goals this season through getting skinned and fouling players outside the box (also picked up too many yellow cards). completely disagree, had an excellent season last year. Let his standards slip a little after feb when rushed back to early from injury. A very good left back who we should give another chance. Why have Delph, Bradley and Petrov all on the bench. Youngs doing all right, linking well with Downing, Bent and Pires. Played Bent in well in the first half, couple of other decent balls. Weve been well on top, no need for changes. My worry too and I just know if we go in for a tackle like their players have, the ref will suddenly decide it is a red, like in previous games. I agree that he was a clown when it came to giving away free kicks which lead to goals and stupid yellow cards but i still think he deserves another chance we need players with experience atm to get us out of the position were currently in i was slating pires at the start of the match but fair play he's proved me wrong and is playing superb.
