Whats makes smoking more social? If you dont smoke it doesnt hinder you being about to socialise  you just do as you were without the cigarettes?

Relaxes them? Id you want to relax do yoga or meditation. Those are not benefits in my opinion.

I'm nitpicking really, but I think it's important to recognise that just because you consider it an absolutely pointless endeavour, not everyone does, and it being replaced by something else that provides the same benefit doesn't mean too much for people who already have that habit. It's a bit like: "Why do you watch football", "It's entertaining" "If you want to be entertained, watch films or read a book instead"

So I think it's fair to say there are some benefits (how did I forget to mention weightloss :), though I agree with you the benefits can be replaced with other activities and don't outweigh the harm.

In general I think people should have the right to make unwise decisions that affect themselves, the tricky bit as a society is drawing the line on how much harm we allow people to do to one another in pursuit of their own preferences.

I think at a minimum having seen the benefits of the indoor smoking ban, I'd be happy extending the ban to some outdoor public spaces particularly in built up areas, as well as to private dwellings where there are children, though the latter is probably all but unenforceable.

How does it make you look cooler 😂😂😂😂

More attractive to women too 😂

Numerous scientific studies including one from the esteemed Maydup University in Wyoming have concluded that all three claims are true.

Oh yeah 'scientific studies' a bunch of scientists can form accurate data on what atrracts men and women just by having a cigarette making them look more attractive to men or women

What was the study how did they base it?

Did they have millions of people in a room full of smokers and non smokers then see who picked up the most women or men? A pointless study that can easily be manipulated

Well the study from Maydup University was based on data from the study carried out by Professor Chinee Raekon, and I believe the sample size was 100 males, so a small sample size but a good indicator.

I look forward to the mandatory healthy meals and 1 hour exercise per day

I don't think people will mind you having a bag of chips as long as you don't half chew some of them and spit it into strangers' mouths :)

I’ve never smoked and have only recently after a lot of hard work become cool. So the facts do stack up.

I hate to break it to you  ......

Presumably you'd also want to ban alcohol (no benefits there, just health risks), sugary food, fatty food, caffeinated drinks, energy drinks, margarine etc. etc?

I'd ban football games too. Tens of thousands of fans driving to watch 22 men run around a kick a ball?

Do you know the health risks of so many cars pumping out toxic gases can do to people in inner cities?

I’d ban banners. The use of flags is flagging and people are bored of boards. There’s not much sign of signs and we’ve had all the ads we can take.

Anyone got a light?

Im not criticising you seat, just saying how can they study something like this for it to be accurate?

Its literally impossible- how do you know the appearance of the individuals who took part? Were they slim models? Good looking people? Overweight people?

I fail to believe smoking is seen as a attractive quality. Maybe people might use it as a pickup line but thats all

I did - I put "sugary food".  You'd also want all those banned, yeah?

Alcohol, sugary food, fatty food, caffienated drinks, energy drinks, margarine etc - all banned, yeah?

I’ve never saw the point in smoking , but I kind of get the cool thing when you’re younger. I know for a fact if my mum couldn’t get hold of any smokes she’d be in the loony house by the end of the week . I dare say some people would be suicidal .

Fatty foods good for you for starters (see keto)

I think your example is extreme.

Sugary food lets start with that - you can sugar in moderation. Most smokers dont have onw cigarette a day as its so addictive.

Drink is like alcohol dangerous and has various health issues as does smoking.

Its funny people moaning about how they cant get appointments at hospital but then support smoking. You know how much smoking diseases drain the nhs?

Caffinated drinks as that killed people volume as smoking does? Can you advise me on the scentific data that causes the same amount of diseases as smoking does?

Energy drinks - are there as many drinkers as smokers for these? And again see same point as caffeinated drinks?

Margerine? Thats just silly just say food as whole 😂
