Falcao to Chelsea is bizarre, cant see mourinho being the driving force behind it, he has always usually relied on having one powerful striker up top with flair behind.

Cant see how falcao fits into that Chelsea team tbh.

He dosen't. He bench warms until Costa gets injured and then will be on the bench as soon as Costa gets fit again.

Interesting to see what they do with regards their third striker, Loic Remy I'd imagine will move on for regular football otherwise he probably won't make French euro 2016 squad so will they just stick Bamford there or find some cheap back up like they did with Drogba?

Anyone know anything about the 2 Dortmund signings?

Burki is a goalkeeper and Castro has been around for years and has been capped for Germany. solid squad player I would imagine. Cant believe he just turned 28

Duncan Castles (The Times/Sports Illustrated) gave direct quotes from Mourinho talking about Falcao last week. (one) (two)

If the deal was all above Mourinho's head, and Abramovich has signed players above his manager's head before (Shevchenko, Torres) then it seems odd that Mourinho would be so positive about the player a few days before the deal was formally announced.   I'm not sure about the context of the quotes, maybe Jose was answering a direct question about Falcao from a journalist who had been tipped off Falcao was signing for Chelsea but it still seems odd.  Quite a gamble from Chelsea given the wages Falcao is on.

Sigh, Patrick Roberts going to citeh.

Such a shame, yet another bright prospect about to enter the elephants graveyard and never to be seen again.

Maybe we can pick him up in 3 years when he realises the mistake he's made?

going to be a reserve team player on £20k a week (guess) probably wont be sent on loan because the whole point of him is ticking the home grown box, wont get a sniff of the 1st team, might get some cup games before being sold to a lower table prem team in 3 years

no doubt gordon taylor will blame his demise on foreigners...

Never.   They grow up surrounded by other people telling them that they are amazing and they get offered ridiculous sums of money to sign.  So never.
