Milfner
12 wickets over four days is a disgrace. Much more worthy of a fine/points deduction than a game wrapped up inside two days.
PaulC
1200 runs scored in two innings. These wickets are bad for the game.
dAVe80
I was having the "cricket is boring" debate with a guy from work the other day. I had to concede today that 12 wickets and 1200 runs probably wouldn't have been the most interesting match to watch, despite the fightback to level the match and the big score for Laurie Evans. PaulC
Dougie"We chose to play on that pitch for the right reason. We thought it would turn so we could get our spinners in the game but the pitch just got slower & slower. To be fair, Gary Barwell warned us a different pitch might be better to play on. It was our decision."
Avfc96
Not sure Javid will make it though. I think he has a much better chance of making it if he concentrates on being a one day/T20 specialist. He quite clearly is struggling batting at the top end of the FC side, although he shouldn't have been probably put in that position in the first place. He reminds me alot of Bopara, and he is very useful bits and pieces player in a limited overs side.
Milfner
I think it's his fielding that probably keeps him in team to be fair. He's great to have out on the boundary. Surrey just hit a six off the final ball (with six needed) of their T20 game to win. Great stuff!
PaulC
Yes young Mahmood did it. Glocs should be kicking themselves with all those wides and that no ball.

Milfner
...and he breaks Luke Wright's domestic T20 record finishing on 158 not out off 63 balls including 13 fours and 11 sixes! Brendon, you're a bad, bad man.

PaulC
His 6th t20 hundred. Only contracted for the group matches. We could do with him in the quarters as we are virtually qualified now.
Avfc96
Superb hitting, that six to get his hundred was something else. Chopra played a great supporting knock, Evans was poor again and Porterfield's six into the pavillion came very close to where I was sitting! That was a superb shot, didn't hit that hard just timed it to perfection. Poysden was unlucky not to take a five wicket haul with the missed caught and bowled, he was just a split second to late in reacting to the ball going up in the air. Oh and Derbyshire's bowling is woeful.
Zatman
sad news about Ryan Harris having to retire. Brilliant player but had awful luck with injuries 23.5 test average is pretty awesome Edited July 4, 2015 by Zatman
dAVe80
Yeah, I feel sorry for Harris. All ways struck me as being a decent chap (for an Aussie ), feel bad that he's had to give up playing. On a happier note, how good was McCullum last night! Amazing stuff.
PaulC
Yes top bowler. I guess in one sense it makes it easier for Australia not having to make a decision whether to pick Hazelwood or Harris.
dAVe80
160 about par? Did well to get there in the end, after the start Leicestershire had, but will have to field well to defend this.
