lapal_fan
Chopra did well in a supportive role with Mccullum in t20 and got 51. Other than that though
PaulC
Yes his 4 day form is the most concerning though! Gets out to a ball bowled down the leg side today when we needed him to build a platform with Westwood.
dAVe80
Great win for the Bears at Durham! Held their nerve at the end, to win by two wickets. I'm not going to crow too much!
lapal_fan
After it looked like we completely collapsed the other day, we'll take it!

PaulC
Yes good collective effort. A special mention for Laurie who's 70 was crucial.
PaulC
Sam Hain makes another hundred. In recent times out of the prospects I have seen at Warwickshire. Bell, Moeen, and Woakes. He could end up being the best of the lot.

lapal_fan
I was talking to my mate at the t20 on friday, we were asking ourselves what Brendon McCullum will be doing with himself between t20 matches. He's only on a 7 game contract (will he be available for finals etc?), would he be travelling with the squad whilst they're playing 4 day games? Could he make himself available if he wanted to? How much has his 7 games cost Warwickshire? Or would he just be doing training on his own? The t20 games only last 3 hours, and he's only playing in 7 of them, he must be so bored if he's not doing anything. Last one, will he play next year for the Bears in any formats? dAVe80
He'll be wandering around the many attraction on offer in wonderful Birmingham in his spare time, obviously!
Milfner
Overseas players limit for county games is one (which is Patel) and a limit of two for T20 games. Been off three times today for bad light at Edgbaston, put the floodlights on ffs.
PaulC
maybe a 100k. If he has put bums on seats and helped us progress to the quarters then thats ok. Question is does he play for the team or for himself. The last match against Lancs we should have won easily only needing just over 6 an over but McCullum continued to play the same expansive way and got out. lapal_fan
It was a good 41 though If we win we should be batting first every time with him in the squad.
lapal_fan
So, Warwickshire are coasting against Somerset. Chopra out for another low score of 4. 35 - 2 now, Westwood gone.
PaulC
Yes he's on a bad run. Thing is if he was scoring runs he'd be playing for England now. But he's messed his chance up. Once told by Michael Powell that being the captain take a lot out of you and he said it aged him 10 years and hence why he retired early 30s. Think if he had ambitions to play for England he should have left the captaincy well alone
dAVe80
Good finish to the cricket tonight. Northants a bit unlucky in the end, but glad the Bears managed to grind out the win. Edited July 22, 2015 by dAVe80
Milfner
Can't believe Chopra got a half-century. Was such a scrappy knock and he looks so woefully out of form. Good win anyway, let's just hope we get it done in the quarters!
PaulC
Wasn't the easiest pitch to bat on though so important knock from the captain. I thought Gordon had blown it though!
lapal_fan
Phew! Poo'd my pants a little bit at the end. Not sure if it was the dodgy kebab or Gordans death bowling, but it wasn't pretty. Lewis did well on the boundary, again. Good fielder.
PaulC
and Evans. We do have to sort our death bowling out. Its been dire the last few games. Can't allow teams to get that many at the end and expect to win too many.
