He needs to stop and just retire already, shows how desperate WWE are that they keep asking him to appear each year.  Vince needs to let HHH take reins with NXT outdoing the main rosters on a daily basis now.

Undertaker's appearance looked pretty underwhelming.

It was awful, there was actually a part where taker went to kick cena and missed him completely and cena had to fake it that it connected. it was terrible

It wasn't a bad WM, but it could have been so much better.

Spoiler

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt is good. I like that and think a 'woken' stable will be solid. Glad Hardy won the battle royal.

Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali was a really good show. These two have a lot of potential. Would like to see more of them on Raw/Smackdown if I am honest.

Women's battle: Again, good. The actual battle was better than the men's one, more energy in the ring. Good ending which builds the feud between Sasha (man, she is hot) and Bayley. Naomi a good choice.

IC: Brilliant match, I guess there will be a rematch at the next PPV, or maybe Miz takes a break and we get another Balor - Rollins classic.

US title: An ok match, rather Rusev won this - but they wanted to turn the Rusev chants into heat. It didn't work.

Flair - Asuka - WOW. Who saw that coming? Match of the night and solidifies Flair as the woman to beat. I see Rousey - Flair as the match at Summerslam. Fantastic match, would have made a better main event.

Cena - Undertaker - a squash match but it was fun. Good to see, was never going to be a 50 minute batttle.

Jax - Bliss - A decent match, nice to see Jax finally get a title. Now give her more time on screen and a good competitor...

Rousey / Angle... - Great match, expected less from Rousey but she was brilliant. Her first match as well, will get so much better.

Bryan - McMahon - so much intensity from Bryan, great to have him back. I guess Owens and Zayn end up on Raw.

Bludgeon win - Yeah, expected. They need to look unbeatable, this was handled quite well. Shame the Usos, on their WM debut, didn't get a big win though.

Strowman - You know, this could have been a fun match. The addition of that kid was funny but pretty pathetic as well. Meh.

AJ - Nak - Not the match of all matches... and the heel turn? Should have built this up over the weeks, not 4 weeks before the event and then throw the heel turn in right at the end. Poorly done.

Brock - Reigns. Yep.

The Undertaker bit is the only bit of Mania I've seen.

For the above I'd put the blame on Cena. He fell back way too early.

For the first time ever.. I watched it.. for no reason other than it was advertised and I've had it on in the background whilst working from home.

I've always laughed at the women's matches.  Like seriously - I've never seen a good one.. but wow.. they completely stole the show! The Triple H one was my fave because I remember watching him in the late 90s/ early 00's.  The woman vs Steph was really good too, she from UFC then I guess from the mini video before hand?

I thought the undertaker thing was good too.  I know who John Cena is (and he's pretty unpopular, despite being a goodie) and I love a good legend.  I thought it was great.

I also thought the kid in the ring with that huge **** off bloke was very cool too.  A nice touch, although I imagine smaller wrestlers will be annoyed as it could have been them?

Didn't see the first few fights, I started with the one with the Indian guy, the russian guy and randy orton (I sort of know of him, he must have been around a while).

I very much enjoyed it.  Some incredible athleticism!

oh and Angle's neck looks like he's hiding two great testicles behind his ears! What a bull! Started to slow down though, hasn't he!? :(

Kurt Angle is an absolute machine.

Heard him interviewed a couple of times talking about the training he used to do for his Olympic wrestling. The volume of it is insane.

Glad it's not because he's on steroids!

I reckon that mahal (i think, the indian guy) must be. You could see every vein in his body! :o

Angle is lucky to even be standing let alone wrestling. That man has been through so much from broken necks, to drug addiction while trying to combat the pain his neck was causing him. He's a trooper, but he has certainly lost a step or two and maybe also a few dozen brain cells over the years. It's great to have him around still, though when he gets on the mic and starts slurring his words a bit it's clear that the last decade of his life left permanent damage.

Angle also has a history of neck problems so it might be a case that he's specifically worked on that area to add strength

Oh wow, I had no idea.  I thought he was the all american hero (anti drugs and stuff).

That's a shame though.  I guess Jericho and big show and stuff are very much too old and stuff now?

I know Stone cold has gone because I follow his twitter

I love Triple H though, he's in absolutely phenomenal shape for a guy who's probably in his 50s (or close to).

I think the drugs were painkilling drugs.

He broke his neck competing before the Olympics. And then won the Olympics with said broken neck. So he must have been (legally I'm sure) dosed up to the gills with painkillers.

He's since said he went to see a neck specialist (the same one who fixed Steve Austin's Neck after Owen Hart broke it) and he said he was shocked at how **** up his neck was.

He's probably been on painkillers in order to compete for decades

I think Angle largely is anti-drugs, but his neck was causing him so much pain at one point he was apparently taking 65 pills a day and not even weak stuff either it was all prescription opioids. The sad thing is that I think he did it because he was scared the surgery to fix his neck would end his career, but the drugs wound up getting him fired from TNA at the time regardless.

Jericho is still around. He's on tour with his band 'Fozzy' right now, but he returns to WWE for stints every now and again. Big Show just signed a new contract even though he barely wrestles so WWE likely have some plans for him going forward. The old guard are still around to an extent, but they are slowly realising that retirement is looming.

Haven't been impressed by him every time I've seen one of his matches, I think WWE could do a lot worse than let Mark Callaway retire and hire Punishment Martinez to take over the Undertaker moniker. The guy is huge, athletic, has a interesting look, and a great chokeslam. I know 'legacy characters' aren't really a thing in WWE and it may never get over, but every time I see Martinez I can't help but picture it.

Spoiler

What would have been much better and much more entertaining instead of having some random kid, I would have had Strowman going round and then grab jonathan coachman (who is very popular by the way) and take him and plant him by the ring corner as his partner. that would have added good comedy and be  abetter twist than having some 10 year old holding a tag belt.

Strowman

Spoiler

I still dont understand why they built Aksura up so much for her to lose? I am glad Jax won the title but they should have had Aksura vs Bliss with Aksura winning the title and maybe Jax beating her later on.

After watching you are right bad by Cena but I think the kick was going to miss slightly from the angle

@Demitri_C

Spoiler

I think the main issue is that Asuka had to lose sometime, I would personally rather Asuka lose at a huge show that matters than have her lose the streak just because WWE wanted to make Backlash memorable.

I think I would be more annoyed about Asuka's loss if it was someone other than Charlotte. At least with Charlotte she is 5 time Women's Champion, a 1 time Diva's Champion and a 1 time NXT Women's Champion, she's the most decorated female wrestler on the roster so if anyone was beating Asuka it was her.

Sure it sucks that the streak ended now, but they struck at the right time really as any longer and we'd have been running the risk of WWE pulling the trigger on the streak at some shit PPV like Battleground.
