Thus far tonight we have looked like a top four side going forward (other than the finishing).

Unfortunately it is the finishing that sets the top 4 away from the others.

Do you think Rooney , Drogba or Arshavin would have missed these chances. Or Defoe come to that

Now Milner strikes wide. Good strike.

If we win this it'll be a great performance and real boost to our hopes of Champs Lg.

But with chances missed, one break and losing 1-2 and it's season over.

but let's not slate them - they've been magnificent all half really.

Now you mention it only the other day I saw Rooney fluff an open goal and Arshavin sky over from 8 yards out, so yes they do miss chances.

Excellent half of football really enjoying it.

Good first half performance, lets hope for more of the same and that we don't regret not converting our chances. It's such an open game you feel Wigan are quite capable of snatching one if we don't put one of our chances away soon.

On the flip side Downing has been incredibly useless this game, with the exception of being involved with the goal.
