It's interesting and good for us in that this is one of the most physical teams in the league in Newcastle against one of the 'craftiest' in Arsenal.

From a Villa point of view we might see injuries for Arsenal, cards for Newcastle or both - I don't mind that.

ref stopped a throw 30 seconds after it happened but restarted play maybe 15 seconds later.... Commentator said they were checking VAR

Yep, the excuse for them not being corrupt is no they really are just that bad...

For my money, they missed a red card for each team in that half, so gross incompetence it is.
