Guess who the last team to beat city was, back in December 2023….

It’s almost fitting for Spurs to go and beat them.

Was going to say, it's a running joke even with Pep that spurs have a relatively good record against them at home.

Why do people think Spurs will get a draw v City? Spurs defence is like a sieve , and City have won the last 6 games, who will most likely need to continue winning or Arsenal will win the league.

Not sure what the flap is. They won't beat City not a chance. Did you see them play Saturday, they are now in top gear, even giving players (Haaland) a rest. I doubt Tottenham will even walk through Burnley, then City 2 days later, this is seriously what you call bed wetting. It's done lads get yourself a beer. 🥳

If City and Arsenal win next weekend two things happen that could help us:

1. Liverpool will not be able to finish any higher than 3rd place and may choose to play a "weakened" side against us in preparation for Klopp's finale at Anfield

2. The City match against Spurs will be a pivotal one in the title race and Spurs supporters might actually  root for City to win so Arsenal don't get the title

City are in title winning mode. Liverpool and Arsenal stuck 3 or 4 past Spurs, City will do similar.

Spurs really should be better than they are right now. It's not like they have genuine reasons to be struggling like us

Not the worst day for us, with the Spurs loss and the increased GD.

But it was another blown opportunity to drop the axe on an immediate rival.

We need to learn how to strike when the iron is hot.

Maybe they haven’t got an elite manager?

Not targeting you but posts like this really annoy me. You think the players can pick and choose when they win or lose ?

Can you imagine if we didn’t have Europe this season. Top 4 would have been done long time ago.

Hate to have to agree with you. Europe was always going to present this problem.

There's absolutely no chance they play a weakened team against us.

What Ollie was alluding to in his recent interview though?

Not so much today but 2-0 up v Brentford and Chelsea and we let both back into the games far too easily.

Camel gob played a full strength side against our youth team when the entire first team squad had Covid.

It's good practice for the team and the finances have helped us

That’s holding on when on top. We were never on top today.

Our most used players have played 10-20 games more than the most used Spurs players, in that sense you are right.

However, Spurs play a high intensity tactic with a high press, while we have a more low/medium intensity tactic.

The result seems to be that both set of players are burned out at this stage in the season.

Next season with Spurs in Europe, their players will be burned out at an earlier stage in the season, expect them to be mid table.

We need to recruit well in the summer, because it is not sustainable that our best players play 50+ matches in a season. Both because burn out at the end of the season and also to avoid injuries because of fatigue and tiredness.

I don’t get the detail. I just think every Villa fan should be saluting what our squad have done and stop moaning like bitches.
