Didn't Emery say he wanted a winger at some point? Possibly when bringing Bertie back.

You’re probably correct. Unai famously never used wingers at Villarreal either 🤣🤣🤣

Williams is a right winger - that's what he plays as 90% of the time. We are absolutely buying wingers. Where do people think Bertie played when he came back?

We're in agreement. I was replying to a comment saying we don't play with wingers. When we do and Emery wants us to.

We have no right footed winger at level Emery wants. We have a left footed one in Bailey. We 100% need a winger and he'll be right footed. We need a second striker / forward and he to be left footed.

Press out there seem to think he's signing a new deal with Bilbao ....

on the positive side at least he hasn't joined PSG

Most of that reporting though is linked back to a kid with 1600 followers from Bilbao

Found this, he’s either an ITK for Bilbao or he’s just a Villamole type of account lol.

🚨🚨🚨🚨 LAST TIME 🚨🚨🚨
Attention!!!!!!! 🔥🔥
IT HAS TOOK ME A LOT TO BRING YOU THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION DIRECTLY FROM NICO WILLIAMS'S ENVIRONMENT:

🎺 NICO IS NOT GOING TO RENEW WITH ATHLETIC AND WILL GO TO THE PREMIER 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Aston Villa's offer to Nico Williams is DIZZY and exceeds 7.5 M euros per year. Athletic has already communicated to Nico's representative that he cannot exceed 5M per year and at this time the player is FAR AWAY FROM BILBAO THAN ANYONE IMAGINES.
Unai Emery himself has personally called the player to explain his sports project together with the sports director "manager" of the English team. Nico feels excited and convinced of a project with European aspirations, in addition to the fact that he has always expressed his desire to play in the Premier to his closest friends.
Athletic would receive a transfer valued at 50 million euros, which would partly alleviate the difficult economic situation that so many years of absence from European competition and high salaries in the squad have generated.
