When the cazoo deal ends which won't be until 1st June or 1st July, would guess another mid to late July reveal

Yes, no doubt revealed then but will probably come with a stupid 'pre-order' now and people won't be getting their hands on them until August/September.

Nice to see Liverpool playing in their new strip yesterday and marketing already heavily underway for fans to pre-order now. The kids will all be wearing them within weeks no doubt.

Yet we still continue to miss a trick in this area.  🙄

There usually is some reason behind it like us constantly changing sponsor, supplier and or brand but it does feel like amateur hour that we are always late and there always is an issue with orders and supplies.

You're right. Misaligned deals with both sponsors and kit suppliers..

Cazoo will sponsor us for 3 years starting from 'x date' ..

... 2 years into this deal, the kit supplier is changed and so preventing us from releasing the new kit during the early summer we can't because the old deal with say "Kappa" has not ran out yet.

It's a shambles!

I'd love for us to have say a 3 year deal with the same supplier and sponsor. Honestly even if it isn't a fantastic kit. Shame it has to be a shady gambling sponsor thou.

Will not buy a jersey with a gambling sponsor unless it's absolutely epic.

Bingo! I'm glad you and me both see this.. It's a shame someone who specialises in this thing higher up at Villa Park has failed to recognise it for nearly 5 years now!..

Kids shirts won’t have to logo at least. Extreme dieting time.

It hasn’t been handled particularly well, I agree, but it’s a lot easier for teams like Liverpool to get long-term partnerships with kit brands and sponsors than it is for most clubs. That and they will treat ‘big clubs’ with priority.

I’m sure we’re not the only ones that wait so long to sort our new kits out. Also, I think it’s important to take into account our growth over the last few seasons. With each passing year we’ve improved and made ourselves a more attractive proposition for brands and sponsors, so it makes sense to keep contracts short so we can get better deals that reflect our higher league position the season or two after.

Hopefully it’ll plateau in the next few years and we can get lucrative long-term partnerships that will enable us to get the kits out much more quickly and smoothly, as well as being more beneficial to the club overall. I’m sure that’ll be on Purslow and Heck’s to-do-list.

Am I right in thinking it will be Castore and BK8 for the next couple seasons?

Kids are getting fatter right, so maybe there is a chance to squeeze into a kids extra large so long as it isn't Kappa :D

I would have thought the 'Fernando Torres of finance' would have been able to sort this no problem!?

Yeah Kappa is a lost cause but I’ve fit in an XL boys shirt before! Think it was Macron, they sold them off for a fiver at the last game.

Evidently not, but to be fair to Purslow I’m sure it was a hell of a lot easier selling Liverpool to potential brand and sponsor partners than it is Aston Villa, especially when he took over here.

From what I understand the castore deal was revealed as a 'Multi-year partnership..

So we will perhaps get one season where the sponsor and supplier align..

I understand it is easier to flog the name Liverpool to people like Nike etc.

Then again, we managed to get Nike on board in the Learner years.

I’m sure we could get a deal with Nike or Adidas nowadays, but the deal wouldn’t be as lucrative for us as lesser-known or upcoming brands like Castore. That and we’d be far down their pecking order in terms of priority.

Besides, when we had Nike we finished sixth three times in a row, so we were a more attractive proposition.

Surely we're better having short term deals as it let's us play the market a bit better, unless we could get a performance related deal which I'm not sure actually exist, with the growth we've already had and the growth we expect to have something like 2 year deals work better for us than say 5 years

That does of course work on the expectation that all the new deals are continuing to be higher than the previous one
