It's a shame Marv can't really pass well enough for the premier league. Such a beauty to watch him in the championship. Has got that uncanny ability to win duels constantly.

Apparently premier league gets a penalty decision horribly horribly wrong.

With or without VAR, the standards of officiating are woeful.

You should listen to the link I posted in the officiating/rules thread.

Dunno if it's horribly wrong, it's definitley wrong but at that speed it's so hard to see, it's not a dive either he just stumbled which made it look natural rather than a mo salah esque pike and twist, tough call... But yeah it's wrong

There’s pretty obviously no contact. That for me makes it a horrible decision. Especially for a premier league ref.

Why is there pretty obviously no contact?

There's millimeters between them at full speed

The only obvious bit is of the ref saw the start of the stumble as he started to lose his balance

Its the wrong decision but that's not a shockingly bad decision and it's bullshit that the commentators are now calling it a dive

I think it’s a dive. He’s playing for the contact only, then he falls over.
