He rotates starting positions.  You can go back years and see how many minutes he gives his players.  Usually his forwards get about as much game time in 55+ games (domestic and Europe) as ours do in 40.

Oh. It must be the safety of everyone else's players he was so worried about then, what a lovely chap :)

We'd be a point behind Liverpool right now if that freak United result hadn't happened. Madness. Four points behind Liverpool, in April!

Also if Gerrard never happened!

Yes 4 points BEHIND the worst Liverpool side in quite a few years isn't much to shout about in fairness.

Why does Jesus always look like he's close to tears? lol

Never realised he was back ffs, otherwise i would have had him back in my FPL.

Instead I ended up going with Ollie, and probably guaranteeing an end to his brilliant form.

You do realise we were in the championship while they were winning the champions league or getting near to it? We have been lightyears behind them

We had the worst manager in club history for 11 games this season so we have played a lot fewer games than them :P

For all our £300m spend and them having this tiny nett spend due to pulling off hugely inflated sales (and impressive to be fair to them) their 25 man squad + wages cost around double ours, the starting 11s when we play must be £100m apart

They have the ex worlds most expensive GK and CB and a £80m striker

The reason we're close this season is because they've fell off, with their spending and that squad they should still be lightyears ahead of us

I think the only good thing of Newcastle being a serious player now is them properly in the mix will mean they'll always be a Liverpool/Chelsea/Spurs floating around 7th/8th in state of turmoil and sacking a manager every four-five months.

It's important then we're relatively stable with manager e.g. Emery not going off to join a CL club as Ancelotti did with Real Madrid and don't lose anyone critical in squad (Grealish) and then we should have enough to overtake one of them at least in next 18 months.

Last year it was Man. United basically sacking off the final few months. Think they only got 56 points in the end so that's pretty much what Liverpool and Chelsea will get so we need to be in good shape rather than endless transition from new manager wanting to change things.

Next season we really should be finishing above Spurs unless they pull off an amazing summer transfer window.
