Making the same tactical foul multiple times in a row isn't clever - might well have gone.

City have been much the better side, but Liverpool are a threat on the break - Citeh will want to stop those breaks early with little fouls like that - but it'll be a lot harder with ten men.

I'd be quite happy to see Rodri go, he's a knob who gets away with a lot.

(See also Fabinho)

Had to laugh at him slagging off Scotland's approach in the week, guy played for Atletico Madrid and Simeone for years.

Football players don't half lack self awareness at times.

This is good for us. Just seen Liverpool got Chelsea away in the week so vital we don't lose today as then we have a real chance to be above Liverpool in the table in a weeks time as they have Arsenal next weekend.

Another English player to fade badly after threatening to be world class.

He's very good technically but Walker, James and Trippier are all streets ahead of him defensively. Wan-Bisakka aswell if he was seriously considered still.

Salah and Robertson look livid to be subbed

Klopp saving them for the CL quarter finals. Oh wait...

Grealish has been great today.

If Liverpool win at Chelsea and get something off Arsenal they're still in the top 4 mix so makes sense, today was over for them as soon as they went 2-1 behind.

we only lost 3-1 there :)

Liverpool conceded 24 goals away from home, we've only actually conceded 20 on the road despite those thumping's at Fulham and Newcastle.

It's a shame so many teams go to Anfield and just set up for draws or get scared playing there as there's loads of goals to score v this Liverpool team if you counter attack well, we should've scored 3-4 v them at VP if Ollie was in the form he is now.

Absolutely - there are about four Liverpool players now lucky not to have been booked.

I hate what City stand for, but I love watching Liverpool lose.

I'm up for a couple more City goals here please.

This City win helps Newcastle.

3 goals up, 0 subs after 81 minutes for Pep "player safety" Guardiola.

Pretty sure I heard that Man City have used the fewest players this season.  Or maybe fewest subs?  Definitely fewest something!

He rotates starting positions.  You can go back years and see how many minutes he gives his players.  Usually his forwards get about as much game time in 55+ games (domestic and Europe) as ours do in 40.

Manchester City were superb today.  The game was really competitive for 35 minutes or so but Liverpool were hanging on at half time at it was men against boys in the second half, it could easily have been five or six.  Really impressed with Grealish too, absolutely rinsed Alexander-Arnold and was easily the best player on the pitch.
