Not sure whether you were at either the play-off semi vs WBA in 2019 or the European Cup winning anniversary game against Palace last season at Villa Park but stone me when the tifos dropped from the Holte End (which was kept under wraps so we didn't know about it) the noise levels quadrupled, they were proper goosebumps moments. wedge Posted May 15, 2023 Author Share Posted May 15, 2023 Plenty of positive comments in the 'Villa Park - Atmosphere' thread but I must specifically shout out PB6 for the streamers and flags for Spurs on Saturday that I for one thought were a brilliant touch. Only one thing wrong, and I speak from experience from the "balloon" era in the late 1970's early 1980's, that the streamers should have been saved until the team took to the pitch before the start... Sunday will be one of those days when I really miss Villa Park. My memory is full of so many of the hundreds of times I’ve entered this most wonderful place. It’s always special, even for the most mundane of fixtures. Can Villa Park do it on a wet Tuesday night in November? Yes of course it can!! However some occasions have a little bit more magic dust sprinkled over them and those are the days I miss the most. I’m a little envious of those of you that’ll be there on Sunday but I hope you all have a wonderful day. I’ve a feeling there’s many more on the way.
