Absolute scenes at Spurs score a 95th minute winner to secure progress out of the CL group stage.

Now 3 mins and counting of VAR checking it.

Edit: disallowed. VAR absolutely ruining this sport.

It was one of those dream games as a Spurs fan. Behind but pushing all the time. Equaliser with 10 mins to go and a real sense of belief, the fans right behind the team… chance after chance… then finally in the last few seconds of the 5 minutes added the star striker scores!!!… the place erupts…

then VAR come along and say it’s potentially about 4mm offside.

Pisses me right off. It ruins the sport.

I totally understand what you're saying and if it was Villa i'd be devastated.

But it was Spurs so..... lol?

even though he's behind Emerson, part of his body is still ahead of the ball, which is therefore offside (if I understand the rule correctly).

But you need a forward pass to be offside I thought?  From what I saw Emerson heads the ball back it hits the defender then goes forward.

Looked like a goal to me but as everyone has said it's Spurs so haha 😄
