United Law applies again. Vidic 2010 & Jones 2018. “Only MUFC players shall be exempt from a red card when denying a clear scoring opportunity.” !?!

Just posted in the ref thread but I don’t think that’s a red card under the new rules. “Denying a clear goal scoring opportunity” isn’t a straight red now if there was a genuine attempt to get the ball. Open to interpretation but I don’t think that jones should have been sent off.

Obviously the Vidic one was a red though!!

Alex Scott on the BBC is lovely

Almost avoiding the politically incorrect temptation to mention that many team sports ladies are not interested in scoring opportunities that involve making a genuine attempt for balls.

Man United lack ruthlessness about them nowadays. Casually knocking the ball around with just 5 minutes left, Martial mishiting a cross into the crowd.

Mourinho losing a major final is always great though, hasn't happened anywhere near enough in last 15 years. The fire has gone out of him.

Anyone else had to remind themselves that Sanchez is in the starting line up for Man Utd?

He's been garbage since moving there.

Abysmal final. Poor football and players constantly gesticulating to the referee that other players should be booked.

Stadium looked half empty at the beginning and after half time as the corporate whores were late taking to their seats.

Modern football  - shove it up yer arses!
