Terry as manager would be worse than Sherwood though Sherwood has that intial cocky charm to get best out of players for limited period. Dont think Terry has that

This would be a really bad idea. No managerial experience whatsoever. Experience on the pitch is one thing, being a manager is a different story.

With all due respect what as Sherwood won as a player compared to Terry? Terry has worked under top coaches while at Chelsea and probably learn't a few tricks, I mean there's Claudio Ranieri, Jose Mourhino, Luiz Felipe Scolari, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez, Antonio Conte... The best manager Sherwood worked for was Kenny Dalglish.

Working with top coaches gives you the opportunity to gain some insights.  It doesn't follow that people will gain those insights, still less understand how to apply them in different situations.

This is not a first managerial job for someone.

Let him off down to League 2 if he's serious about management. We don't need a learn as you go manager right now.

Out of interest, has their been a manager that has been a success from learning as you go?

if you are good enough you are old enough. Don't like Terry the man, Terry the player will go down as a legend (rightly or wrongly is another discussion) Terry the manager ????

Wouldnt be totally against it. The German league has quite a few young managers doing alright.

Nagelsmann nor any of his five fellow German compatriots had experience of being a Bundesliga coach prior to their current roles but each of them had worked in a Bundesliga youth academy, with four promoted directly from roles within their current club’s coaching set up to then head up the first team.

In other words, clubs are placing an emphasis on how coaches have been able to develop talent in the past. In some cases, that then allows the coaches to promote young talent that they’ve worked with in that club’s own academy

With the right team around him say someone like warren joyce could be a master stroke.

I seriously hope we don't require a caretaker manager. The writing has been on the wall for long enough that the board at the very least should have candidates that they have been looking at and doing some sort of due diligence on. There should be some behind the scenes contact going on so that we are prepared. At this point we should be able to move quickly for our favoured candidate and have plans B and C in place too. If not then The Doc should be ordering mass P45s.

I think Terry is a foolish suggestion, frankly speaking.

I'd be perfectly happy to get a younger coach in who has done their badges and at least managed a youth side for a big club for a few years. They need to be a strong personality though, as we can't have anyone who is the slightest bit overawed when they get here.
