I struggled at first. Didn't like to controls very much and thought it was quite slow for the first couple of hours. I had to google it in the end but not because I'd given up, but because I genuinely thought the game had glitched and I was stuck and was trying to see how to get out of it. Unfortunately, I think the novelty will wear off really quickly. With it being such a faff to get out and set up too it's not like you can just switch it on for a quick game. The lack of multiplayer (for obvious reasons) makes it tough too. Lots of fun while it lasts though. My sons birthday is the start of Feb and we are getting him a Switch. He loves Mario, so starting him on Mario Party and Mario Kart, and a friend of ours is getting him the Mario and Sonic at the Olympics game. We got Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, which is the «old skool» Mario linear platform game. You can play two player on it, so we play together. Will be getting Mario Kart at some point, probably. The biggest challenge is definitely to limit playing time, so it’s important to lay down some rules early and to try and be involved and not just leave him to it. You can play it, but you can only play individual events in multiplayer. You can't do a whole competition like you can in single player. Bizarre.
