Relative to their abilities then Iran were better. But you can't say Argentina didn't "deserve" to win. They spent most of the second half in Iran's final third. They were camped in their own half for about 85 minutes of the 90. It wasn't by choice, they're just an awful team and couldn't do anything about it. And created f-all. Iran, on the other hand, created 2 or 3 clear chances, and should have had a penalty. Iran deserved to win. Really hope Argentina get thrashed in the knockout rounds now.
