rodders0223
a bit part player who did very little for a relegation rival last year... i dont believe thats its true but i would be very disappointed, i'd take some convincing that he's better than albrighton Let me convince you......he's much better than Albrighton...... not based on his performances at the baggies that i saw last year he's not, 29 years old and the baggies couldnt agree a £2.5m deal for him Baggies couldn't agree a deal to pay for Sherwood's backroom staff and have just signed a coach who flopped at PNE tbf. He is much better than Albrighton, he will fade in and out throughout the season but he can be a match winner. I would take him for a few mil. This is starting to get a bit tiresome. The actual Albrighton, the one who played the second half of last season, didn't fade in and out, and was in fact one of the most consistent performers in the squad. Replacing him with a 29 year old who you're already acknowledging regularly goes missing seems particularly unlikely to be an improvement. The love Albrighton has had on here the last few months is laughable. He has four or five seasons here, I can count on one hand the amount of great games he had.

villa4europe
i did... dont see the point in releasing albrighton only to replace him with a 29 year old for £2.5m+ and £30k a week+ who IMO did nothing at the baggies last year to suggest he's any better
Rob182
Lescott is the player we should have tried getting would improve our defence now going to hull who are a relegation rival of ours at the min ( it's sad that a club like ours aim is to survive ) Yeah, a SIXTH centre back is just what we need We got Senderos because Lescott wanted to hold out to see what deals were available, he is off to Hull anyway. I imagine we got Senderos because he is being paid peanuts.

Rovers13
My girlfriends Dad is a baggies fan... When I texted him about Amalfitano being linked with us his response ... Super talent but lazy and not one for a fight. I'd have him back mind. So he'll fit right in here. Isn't that the opposite of most villa players? I would say they pretty much all fight and give 100% on the pitch, but they lack talent.

So good he got farmed out to a Championship club, sat on our bench, played about 80 minutes worth of decent stuff and got released,
KSV
article in the Bild says Kiyotake is available for 5 million. Not sure if it meant euros. If it is.. worth a punt if we have a budget of 10 million. Then use the other 5 on a left back. They probably hoping he has a good world cup. tomh621
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been told he can leave Dortmund, has a £6m release clause. If only we had an owner willing to invest, he'd be a huge improvement to either Gabby or Weimann in the wide role 6 million?!?! Didn't Dortmund buy him for like 15 mil or am i imagining that? scored 13 goals too!

Apparently his former coach, now at Roma want's him but Dortmund are holding out for £15m even thou he's said to have £6 m release clause, not sure how that's possible? Dortmund also wan't Ljajic in a possible swap deal. Either way he sadly won't be coming to Villa

People can make up their own minds what they think. Bottom line is he was one of the two or three most consistent performers in the squad since returning from Wigan. I guess you think it's an accident he created more goal-scoring opportunities per minute than anyone else. Whatever - we won't be signing Amalfitano anyway, so this conversation is a waste of time. We could have just waited another, what, week and a bit, and we could have picked up a far better player in Lescott, but no we went for the cheaper option in Senderos. The club is rotten to the core. Isa
West Ham are close to signing Marcus Alonso for £1.5m according to The Mirror. That would've been a nice solution to our left-back woes.

Or did you forget that he was loaned out to a championship club last season and no one batted an eyelid?

Weimann didnt show half the "fight" he showed in his first season under Lambert, yet I believe has alot of talent. Gabby looked disinterested and he's a talent on form.
