samjp26
Citeh are doing well pushing Barca out wide. If you make them cross the ball then you'll most likely beat them in the air when the ball gets into the box. Difficult to make such skilled players do what you want them to do for the entire game though.
PieFacE Posted February 18, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted February 18, 2014 I've never understood why people enjoy watching Barcelona so much. I find them soooo boring. They just suck the entertainment out of football.

samjp26
Citeh on the other hand are really entertaining IMO. Pisses me off when goalkeepers get fouls called when the striker does **** all.
NoelVilla
We have Lars Lagerback co-commentating this game. He is brilliant and makes it even more interesting. Much better than Trevor Francis
Rovers13
Watching Barcelona knock it back and forth to each other outside the box without ever actually having a shot is quite dull. I agree, for the most part their games are boring.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
It depends who they play. In games against good teams, who are well organised, they just knock it about for ages because they can't find space and have no plan B. When they play lesser teams they can be great to watch because there is more space.

Much more difficult for them on the European stage because the clear gulf in class isn't there as it is in La Liga.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
They're still a very good team but IMO they've always looked better with a genuine striker, Eto'o and Villa being the two previous. Strikers stretch defences and create space. Too much of Barca's play is in front of the defence. They'll go and win 3-0 now.

LondonLax
Yeah, I used to love watching them when they had players like Eto'o or Zlatan up top. It's when they switched to the no striker system they disappeared up their own arses.

Always thought the Ronaldinho - Eto'o - Messi/Guily(?)was the best Barca to watch, shame Messi didn't really reach his peak until after that ended. Demichelis has stolen a living at top clubs. He reminds me of Lucio but a much worse copy.
