"Hoolahan, 31, wants to join his former manager Paul Lambert at Villa Park but there's been bad blood between the two clubs ever since Lambert left Carrow Road in the summer of 2012, taking key members of the backroom staff with him. "Villa can't make any progress against a blank refusal by Norwich to negotiate over a player who's now just on the first-team fringe, valued at around £1m, but I understand they'll keep trying to land Hoolahan until time runs out." Scottish Cafu, Ireland etc etc.Some might turn out okay some might not, if you think these were long planned targets then your just stupid clearly panic’s because they are stuck down there.We shouldn’t just sign anyone, if our targets are not gettable then be patient until they are. It will be worth it in the end.Just seems some fans are obsessed with the whole persona of a deadline day signing, for it to appear in yellow on SSN or whatever. I don't think he is personally certainly not till the summer when he will get older aswell. We certainly need a 10 or we will continue to struggle at home, recent wins are great but let's be honest we will continue to struggle at home without that creative player. Toornstra has been Utrecht’s best player all season, netting 11 goals in 26 appearances for the club in all competitions. Last year the playmaker was rewarded for his good form with a call-up to the Dutch national side for the friendlies with China and Indonesia. The 24-year-old started his career with ADO Den Haag, making over 100 league appearances for the club before joining Utrecht in the January transfer window last year. Utrecht will be reluctant to let their star man go, with the club currently in poor form, and sliding down the table, but they have just completed the signing of Barcelona midfielder Fernando Quesada.
