  1. Jeez what with the Elves in Skyrim is no character safe from your sexual perversions. EDI-bot is very, very safe, I assure you
  2. Do not want trailer spoilers. Will avoid as much as possible.
  3. It was supposed to be a cross between Little Big Planet and Mario Kart, well, it was a cross between Little Big Planet and Mario Kart...just not a good one. Users made their tracks and shared them, customised their cars and stuff, on paper that sounds alright, but from what I remember the most important part - the racing - was pretty horrible. I went in game and gamestation for the first time in ages at the weekend, maybe to pick up a bargain. Ehhh I didn't. Only thing that caught my eye were some cheap 2nd hand Wii's, which I'm semi-interested in, but they're not stocking the game I wanted for it...
  4. Man, how did you do that? I sunk (what felt like) quite alot of hours into this over the weekend but I don't think I'm that close to finishing it yet. I'm enjoying it, although I don't think I can say I'm enjoying it as much as the first one. I agree with the complaints I've heard about the quality of the writing, and some of the over sentimentality, but honestly I'm not all that bothered by it. It makes me laugh more than anything else - was very tempted to make my BroShep gay when at the discoteque with Cortez, given the option to tell him that 'I'm eye candy too' ahaha oh man...damn you Dragon Age for making a mockery of every attempt ever to make sexuality a serious issue in computer games. I just find it hilarious How are the glitches treating everyone? There was a mission killing one on the citadel for me (PS3), which I hope is fixed before I get to the end game. That was a Hanar embassador one, there was also a Volus embassador mission that broke while trying to do it, but worked once I reloaded it. Which I've had to do a few times. When picking a team member to fix something while the other 2 of us fight off the bad guys, for example. We killed everyone, and then...nothing happened. So had to restart. The Holding Docks glitch is really odd. If you just leave it to load normally, the game will crash. But if you open the XMB while it's loading, it'll work... Also Jokers eyes are ****. They're just wrong. He looks like this all the time O__O Might be cos he's ragging EDI though I guess
  5. GUYS you're forgetting one key thing Mod Nation Racers was terrible, therefore it makes no sense
  6. Hm, also, I can't remember if I've seen you posting on the games board before Voinjama, but...ever tried fragging some n00bs?
  7. My recmend for Eden Lake fans is Kichiku dai Enkai aka. Banquet of the Beasts. Wonderful, wonderful stuff, if that kind of film is your thing. I'd also mention all the typical french 'extreme wave' movies, but as youve encountered Funny Games, I'm sure they'll follow. My earlier recmend for Salo is a must though.
  8. How did you get on IC Also any more news on Briganda I don't know if you noticed there but I'm posting this post in your style without any punctuation at the end of sentences and also getting names wrong, I like it
  9. Urrmmm....there must be some sort of Sony Customer Services email/hotline right? Or just make a new account?

Didn't she win MasterChef too !! Haha, what? I will check her out when she emerges from the tunnel at VP in a few weeks time...try and get some butt pics for you guys if you'd like.
  11. Wow, really? Erm, OK, the Heskey out part ofc.
  12. An announcement??? I love announcements!!! The mystery, the intrigue, the not knowing until the spectacular reveal?!?! I wonder if you will be sitting in my block. My guess is................they will be in the same place as last season.
  13. This one. Top of Station Road #someonehadtosayit
  14. Trst are you preparing a thesis about the socio-demographic of Birmingham or something? You love makin these kinda threads, man All I remember about so-lee-hull is that it had some nice shops and it didn't seem much like Birmingham to me. Although they did sound Brummy. Which makes me wonder...where do people start to sound Brummy? How east of Brum do you have to get. They don't sound Brummy where I live...how bout that, Trst?
  15. Hit hmm not so much. word removed punt tbh. Or I might get her in a Thai clinch and deliver some knees to the ovaries hey a rhyme
  16. It's very similar, but is full of lots of over sentimentality, and nowhere near as much gruesome death as BR. I also got the over-riding impression that the purpose of the story was to demonstrate how brave the characters were to overcome adversity, and for love to blossom despite the goings on (it is a 'young adult' novel/s after all)...wereas BR was just tragic, really, and carried an underlying commentary on Japanese society and world politics. It also differs in the way that the story of HG only follows the main character, so what she doesnt witness, the viewer doesnt witness. Ergo, you miss some of the most interesting 'battles' as the story just tells you that this person fought that person, and one won, and the other died. BR lets us know exactly what happened in all it's bloody glory though. yay!
  17. Big up the Nuneaton posse boiiiiiiiiiiiiii *ahem* On-topic - Wal-Mart are now atop the rumour mill in the 'who will buy GAME group' stakes, followed by Comet (or the owners of) and Gamestop, who have publically stated their interested in the Spanish arm of Game. GAME group would apparently cost £15m to buy all in, which is considered as 'pocket change' for Wal-Mart, who would look to keep stores open rather than rebuild the brand from scratch.
  18. Ah Entertainment Exchange. Yeah that shop used to be fantastic, then I went in it recently and it was just horribly depressing. I know right. It can't possibly stay open for much longer, goodness only knows how long it's stayed open for this long. I havent been in there for ages actually, might pop my head in the door tomorrow for old times sake as I finish work early.
  19. I've applied for promotion and could be working in Coventry or Brum if I get it. Which wouldnt necessarily mean needed to relocate, but if I got it I think I would. Also applied for transfer to Liverpool last year (went to uni for 4 years there), and was prepared to move...didn't get it though.
  20. With the impending release of The Hunger Games, and PR machine in full flow (BBC breakfast slot this morning), could it signal the often talked about US remake of Battle Royale? Honestly I never thought the yanks would touch anything like it, given the national psyche correlates kids killing kids to Columbine, et al. If HG is a commercial success though, I don't see why a production company wouldnt take on BR - a few cuts to the gore here and there sure, but it is in effect a very similar story, bringing down the oppressive overseers, and a love story running throughout. Not that I particularly want to see a remake of BR, but it seems more possible now than it did a few years ago. And why stop there? A remake of The Running Man anyone? There's already a film adaptation of The Maze Runner on the way, why not Uglies or The Long Walk too? Haven't got round to that in my Herzog box set yet. Looking forward to it. What a wonderful investment that was. I implore anyone who has not seen most of Herzog's work to get it, it's fantasssstic. I went to one of the first showings of Cave of Forgotten Dreams last year, and he was there for a Q&A session afterwards. Wonderful chap. I think I'll read all your posts with his voice in my head from now on mooney

    Journey

I posted about it in the 2012 gaming thread. It's really really wonderful. I kind of liked Flower, but honestly found it a little boring. Journey offers alot more in terms of gameplay, atmosphere, and art style. Oh and the soundtrack is just fantastic aswell. If you liked Flower you will adore this. I finished it a couple of times last week, first online and then offline in an attempt to get all the glyphs and unlock the white cloak. Didn't manage it though, I assume some of them must be reaaaally well hidden away. Given that some levels you don't really want to explore as there are other pressing matters at hand (one 'dark' level in particular comes to mind, I'm sure those who have finished it know what I mean), it's highly unlikely you'd stumble upon all of them in the first few plays anyway. So yeh as much as I agree it is a high price given it's length, there is replayability (also the idea of helping out a new player is a nice one), so the price is well worth it for me
  22. Mass Effect ! PS3? Valkyria Chronicles! It's a kind of turn based strategic 3rd person shooter RPG set in an alternate WWII era mainland Europe, with a handrawn/anime art style which is just gorgeous. One of the best games on PS3 and not one that seems to get an awful lot of praise Yeh, havent touched Skyrim for a good couple of months. Just stopped playing it. Like so many other games, it just happens when you get something new, doesnt it? Might get round to starting it again some day, never did finish the main story
  23. Yeh, I completed the interior of the North and most of the Doug. I mentioned about 'compromise' earlier in the thread, and basically that's what it came down to. It's in NO WAY accurate to the real thing at all, but what you can do is walk into the stand through a 'turnstile', go up the stairs (I actually built a water lift too ) to the seats, go to a box, which are fitted with a table/chair/bar, etc. and I built the reception in the North Stand too, although that was just guess work really. I'll have to post some pics, can't at the mo though as I'm at work. And yeh, the road is 'above' the pitch on the Lower Trinity side. I know that part of the ground very well as it's were my season ticket is, so in theory I should be able to replicate that part better than the rest...if/when I get round to it...
  24. Gamestation used to have a pretty nice retro section, but that went out the window years back. My local indy games shop doesnt really have any games in it anymore, but only a couple of years ago they were stocking everything from current gen back to megadrive and snes. And what thanks do they get? Well, now they have literally a handful of computer games, DVDs, books, and CD/records. It's basically a nicely stocked charity shop without the charity Sad though, it was a staple of a walk through town after school at one time, seeing the new releases, whats in the bargain bucket, playing on the consoles in store...I guess those days are gone now, and never to return
