These ideas are all about increasing interest. Nobody in football is bothered if some 30+ year old from Solihull isn't really interested in PL football anymore. They only care about new markets, expanding in Asia, USA, Middle East, etc. This is where the money is and money is all that matters.

The EFL would need to be paid off first, without the PL teams the League cup basically becomes the EFL trophy and has zero appeal for TV companies.

Expect games abroad to be brought forward. The PL will want to have them in place before any potential football regulator gets appointed.

Plenty of premier league teams will give up a home game in exchange for American dollars. It's only a matter of time before all 20 clubs have to have one home game abroad.

Give them a chance, snooker is new game in China it will take time for them to overtake the existing players. Plus if most of their top players didn't get caught up in a huge corruption scandal they would be much more prominent.

They are, right after they go insolvent. Then you get them for a great price and you have a team with a new shiny stadium on the cheap. Let moshiri take a bath on his investment first. Won't make a blind bit of difference in my opinion. Flogging Merch isn't going to save snooker (mainly because nobody will be buying it), just like changing test cricket from playing in white to playing in the same kit as the one dayers won't make any difference either. Snooker is a niche sport, and it's very difficult to see how its future will go, apart from the dominance of China.

Ancelotti really has kept the Italian stereotype with this team. All the great players he has and it's defend + counter attack or bust. No real ambition at all in their play.

The game is dying on its arse and has been for years. Just like test cricket there's no life in it. Young people in the British Isles aren't dodging school heading to the snooker club to play & smoke and there are fewer and fewer places to play snooker. Pool tables are being removed from pubs which is also a gateway into the game. Terrestrial television coverage is poor and shrinking as the years pass. The game is stuck in the past, talking about history and heritage with the same old war horses still plodding along after 20 years at the top. It's also a slow game that isn't going to appeal to the TikTok generation or big brands. The future is loads of Chinese players playing for world titles in Riyadh with very few Western Europeans involved.

It won't be a start though, because nothing will happen. Just like when the UN pass a resolution. It's just politicians/bureaucrats pretending they are doing something instead of actually doing something. It will be the same as when Putin was brought into the ICC, completely meaningless.
