It's not really because they know people will pay it. What's absurd is that people don't wait for non multiplayer games to drop in price before buying them. When kojima releases his latest walking simulator you dont need to play it on day 1. It'll still be just as boring two or three months later.

I think the media are getting carried away with how good he actually is. They see his size and speed and think he's some unstoppable young cristano ronaldo mutant. He's not. He's obviously worked on his final ball and that's made him a better player but he's not a world beater.

Because he looks like he's nowhere near good enough and his performances so far have been that of a player that should be playing in a championship team fighting relegation. Whether or not he'll come good is unknown but so far the signs are that he's yet another flop.
