That chance last night wasn't a certain goal as some think it should have been. I think he did okay and it just curled wide on him. The problem is that he gets so few chances and when he does get them he misses. He's not going to make it if he's a shane long '1 chance in ten goes in' type of striker.

*IF* we stay up we are looking at another £150m spend except this time we need to get it right. Losing Jack is a huge blow but the ~£60m we get could be used to buy two very good players. Positions we need players in? Well I'd like to see us bring in a centre back, two full backs, 3 central midfielders, 3 wingers and 2 strikers. Oh and a goal keeper as well if heaton is crocked. Just sign all of them and we'll be okay.

Feel sorry for him given the zero service he gets but he does look like a player who needs a partner up front. It may have been an idea to play him instead of El Ghazi or Trez on the wings as he does work hard defensively but there won't be any changes this weekend.

Looks a different player since the lockdown. The threat of playing championship football must have got him into shape.

I was surprised he hasn't been in the side but I think Deano was trying to keep clean sheets because of our lack of goals. He's poor defensively, hence the constant sliding tackles, but he does bring a lot of energy and intensity.

I was sure he was coming off but it was Conor instead and then after that McGinn looked a lot better. Maybe playing the full match will help him shed the beer belly.

If offered a situation where a win in this game would keep us up at the start of the season we would all have taken it.

Never looked like scoring from open play. Same problem we have had for a long time, certainly since the restart. Didnt deserve to win it.
