Good business to get an established player, a no risk signing. Wilson watkins rashica/edouard front three with Jack, Mcginn and Luiz behind them would be great.

Grealish should be that player and then spend the money on two wide forwards. I still think we need 4 good central midfielders, hopefully selling conor and lansbury. Injuries and suspensions happen so we don't want to end up playing a midfield of luiz, hourihane and nakamba. That's how you get relegated.

Seems rather worrying that we are not linked with any central midfielders. We definitely need a player there to provide competition for McGinn/Grealish/Luiz. Nakamba, Henry and Conor aren't good enough.

Albiceleste international? Also it will mean that GK is the only position where we have genuine competition for places. Two quality players vying for the number 1 jersey. More of that please.

I imagine hell be getting a signing on fee or payoff to cover the remainder of his contract and then accept lower wages with us.

We are not well covered at right back because both Guilbert and Elmo aren't good enough. Also Nyland/Steer aren't up to it either so we need a second GK. Sensible business.

Wages would be the problem. We shouldn't be paying a goal keeper 100k a week. He went to united for the money, he knew he wouldnt be picked ahead of de gea.

£50m strikers aren't going to come to Villa and they would smash the wage structure at the club. Also there aren't many proven PL goalscorers on the market, can't see Inter selling us Lukaku. Edouard and Watkins are the level we are at in terms of buying players. Like all midtable PL teams we have to overpay for players and gamble that they will be a success.

For me women's football will never be watchable because of the gap between the men's and the women's game. There are plenty of other sports where I'll happily watch women play, tennis, cycling, beach volleyball, naked mud wrestling, etc. But football wont ever be one of them. As for the charity shield, it was bizarre watching the arsenal players celebrate so excitedly when they won the shoot out. It's a pre season game lads.

If they had won the playoff final they wouldnt be selling anyone. Also it worked out pretty well for them when we gave them 12 million for scott hogan. It's their business model and, so far, it's been successful
