£8m + Crouchinho for barry is not a good deal IMO. Crouch is worth about £8m but as he has only 1 year left on his contract that value drops to about £5m. Barry is worth ~£18m. Crouch is a average player that can "do a job" but no more than that. Is he better than Carew? Not really, Can he play with Carew? Definately not. Will we see a rotation of crouch and carew if crouch does come, in my opinion, yes. I won't be happy or sad if crouch does come but I will be unhappy if the price isn't right.

How often does gerrard actually play in the centre in a midfield 2 for Liverpool? Usually he plays off the striker in a 4-5-1 or on the right in a 4-4-2. If barry goes to liverpool I think he'll play in the holding role along with Mascherano and gerrard will be given free role in front of them.

Same thing happened to me. I left my lvl 70 char with 4500 G and haven't played since. Its just a grindfest when you hit 70 IMO.

Good article. I remember getting excited by every thing villa no matter how small. During the DOL years especially near the end I was almost going through the motions of being a fan. Now the passion is back and the future is bright. Seeing players like young and gabby giving everything for the villa and a captain like barry who could be one of the all time greats for villa (Where is he on our appearance's list now, closing in on 400?) excites me. Proud History, Bright Future, Good Manager, Great Chairman. EDIT: Barry is up to 375 apps I think, one behind the great Harry Hampton.

I think if small heath were always in the premiership then this derby would have less significance (see the north london derby or Manc derby or Merseyside derby) but because they are so shit we always think: well we have to beat them twice this year because they may/will be relegated and we won't be playing them again. If we always played them at least twice every year then the intensity level would decrease. A good example is the Sunderland vs. Newcastle derby, I expect sunderland to stay up for the next few years and I think that derby will lose intensity over the next few years.

Joe on points in a close fight. I think Joe's aggressiveness will win it for him. Hopkins will try to fight on the back foot and counter punch.

Yes after our return to form against bolton we are in pole position to enter the intertwobob. Citeh are not a good side and Blackburn's tough run means If we don't get 7th spot we have only ourselves to blame (and carson :winkold:)

I see your point but Super mario Galaxy Smash Bros. Brawl Mario Kart Resi 4 Metroid prime 3 and the revolution that is PES 2008 in Wii have changed my mind about the console. Games aren't about graphics they are about gameplay. I have voted the Wii becuase its the best value for money by a distance but in the long run the MicroScum X-red light-box will probably be the best console. Although comparing the new next gen consoles is like comparing apple and oranges really. -
I think Gabby should be deducted a point for that awful celebration.
